This complaint is for Processing direct student loan. My account number is **************. Start date is 8/22. They did not honor the agreement but continue to take payments out of my account. They claim to be a type of student loan forgiveness. Ive paid all the fees and they are still taking fees out of my account, my ********************** loan hasnt changed nor did they do what they claimed to do. I am on disability and on a fixed income. I am not quite sure how much exactly has been paid to them, but I can reach out to my bank and find out. Every time I reach out to them I get a disconnected number, they are not in at the time of call, or they promise to get back to me on the matter and hang up on me. I received calls several times a week from a company claiming to work with Edfinancial, where my private government student loans are through. They offered me different options on setting up a repayment plan for my loans once they come due. I did not comply for many months, however once it got closer to my payments needing to start, I asked several questions of the employee about the company, the process, the website, etc. it seemed legitimate and the account they had me create was on a website I was familiar with. I ended up making a large initial payment for them to get my repayments set up to begin the following year in a couple months. After more research and talking with family and friends, I realized it may be a scam and called back. They told me I could not get my money back because too much time had passed from my initial payment. On November 26th, 2021 I made a $700 payment to Processing Direct LLC. I have not received any information from this company and was unable to get my money refunded, although they let me cancel my payment plan. The government loans have been on pause since this issue and I since started a Masters program further deferring my payment start dates. I no longer talk with anyone on the phone who calls about student loan forgiveness. When I am ready to start repaying, I will work with someone directly through the Edfinancial website.

On May 11th 2023 I thought that they were helping me set up and get started on making my payments for paying back my student loans once the deferment was over. They had access to my *** account and were able to change my password without any extra input from me so I assumed they were legitimate. I made a payment to "get started" of $1400. They later tried to charge another $1400 to my credit card which was blocked and I had to change my card. I then got an email from the *** saying there was suspicious activity on my account. I think they were a scam. I have also submitted a scan report to the BBB.

The company advertise as if they are apart of a government program over the phone and they tell you that in order to apply for student loan forgiveness there is a fee associated while they sit on the phone with you and tell you where to sign because it's a time restraint on the process of filing the paperwork on time.

This company called me and discussed the fact that i had applied for the ***** relief and said that i was approved. they then accessed my financial aid and changed the passwords to my Financial aid info, they were even able to tell me the amount of loans that i owed. they told me that they would charge me 220 twice a month for three months and then 19 dollars month for ************************************************************************************************************* to make an initial payment of 6oo dollars and then for 900 dollars that could be paid between credit cards and bank cards. At this point it felt very uncomfortable so i ended the call. i immediately looked up the company on BBB and saw that it was a scam. i called my bank and cancelled my card. The company has reached out to me to continue to scam me and i block each time they from 1 of the million numbers.

The client canceled shortly upon signing up. I have provided signed documents for our program as well as information the client gave us. No charges were ever taken from the client and the client was canceled.
