The gate to the park closed on my vehicle and caused $1800 worth of damage. The owner initially said they would "make it right" but refused after I provided an estimate for repairs (which he requested). He also told me that they would have video that showed the incident and I welcomed them to review it before leaving the park. After providing the estimate, this video "magically" didn't show the incident and he said that employees claimed I was trying to feed the animals too soon (there was a sign 50 feet ahead clearly stating to not feed the animals until it is reached, which we complied with). Upon entering the drive through portion of the park, our vehicle was immediately blocked in/barricaded by his animals. My choice was to either run over his animals (and hurt or kill them) or hope that his gate had functioning sensors so that it wouldn't close on my truck. The gate either didn't have these sensors or wasn't functioning properly so closed on my vehicle causing substantial damage. The owners (at least in this instance) have proven to be dishonest and unwilling to do what is "right and just". My hope is to help others avoid a similar issue or, much worse, get harmed by an animal and the owners rely on the release of liability waiver (required to enter the park) to avoid making things right (as they have done in this case)
