    December ******* via text. I attempted to call but couldn't get through. He returned my test than called me back. I told him the brand name of my softener unit that had been taken apart and not put back together. I sent him photos of the resin tank with resin pouring out. As well as the normal place the unit sits. His reply "We do work on these kinds of units. We can give you a complete evaluation for $150 Do you still have the control head?" I told him yes and we had replaced parts in it. "Let me know if you would like us to come out" I considered what he said. My reply " I can't pay you $150 to give me an estimate. if you can truly hep me and I can afford the amount you ask I will be happy to hire you" his reply " :) Not an estimate, an evaluation. My service tech will reassemble the head, put the unit back into service and evaluate it's operation. The $150 service charge covers the service trip and up to an hour of labor and diagnostics" we discussed the fact that I emptied the resin tank so it would need new resin. He said to leave it alone "We can do everything" After discussion we agreed on Thursday December 23rd. The tech names **** came. He put new resin in put the unit back together and set it up. At first I was very please to find I now had soft water until I discovered my water is so salty it;s no longer drinkable and I am forced to buy drinking water! I contacted them, they called back telling me the setting were incorrect and needed adjusting. He said he would check online to try to find the appropriate settings. He asked if I had the book. I waited a couple of day texted him to see if he had figured out how to set it up yet. I told him since I had paid him $300 I expected to have drinkable water.this is his reply "Jan- *** only paid us to replace the resin. We told you we could not guarantee the operational status of your control head.A new unit costs $3000 not $300. If you find your owners manual then you could adjust the settings"
