Germania refuses to give me diagnostic report on my vehicle

Having been with Germania for over 30 years having auto coverage and over 14 years with home ins., I recently got a slap in the face. Filed a claim on my roof because of hail damage. The adjuster who came out (with only 6 years under his belt) had an excuse an reason for the roofer (with 24 years of experience) on the day if inspection. The adjuster had the nerve to tell me he had been on more roofs in 6 years than the roofer had in 24 YEARS!!!! REALLY. But the saddest part is that after 14 years of home ins. w/ Germania and having paid over $40,000 to them with NO, I repeat, NO claims filed on my house, my claim was DENIED!!!!! It was like the adjuster had just finished reading "Reason to Deny a Roofing Claim." It was so scripted and rehearsed. Then after talking to his supervisor I got the same scripted act. I would have rated a 0 star or negative star based on my years with Germania and the scripted act.

It has been 9 days since the adjuster was here. They cannot get ahold of the adjuster now he never turned in his paperwork. Well get someone else out here that not fair for me to wait around while you try to contact someone who worked for you to finish a job. They haven't approved the paperwork. Well wait what is it exactly hasn't he turned in his paperwork or not? I don't like the run around I don't like being lied too. My tt was damaged in a hail storm. This is ridiculous 10 years with a company 10 years

Their insurer hit me leaving my car not drivable and me without a car for work . It's going on 3 days now with no call back / follow up. I've reached out multiple times to the claims adjuster as well as the ***** number but no one can seem to get in contact with him or anyone from his team. How they run their claims department is beyond ridiculous! If I could give them zero stars , I would. Although I am not insured through them , I will be sure to tell everyone how bad they handle business.

To make a long story short, my neighbor had hit my vehicle and she had Germania insurance. Germania insurance accepted responsibility and referred me to a body shop that was in their network to get an estimate on the repairs. After getting the estimate (which I think was extremely overestimated) they had informed me for a couple weeks that my car was being repaired. After getting another estimate from the body shop after they took the bumper off they wanted to label my vehicle as a total loss and gave me an ultimatum of one day to sign their offer and told me I would be responsible for shop charges anytime after that day. So I'm under the impression for weeks that my car is being repaired then they send me an email after working hours telling me that I have one day to make a decision on accepting their offer. Then after trying to work things out with them, originally they told me I was responsible for the disassemble and reassemble of my vehicle if I was going to keep my vehicle on a buyer buy back. After arguing with them about this they agreed to pay for the disassemble but still made me pay for the reassemble. In no way whatsoever did I ever agree to this so I'm stuck out of pocket having to pay for my vehicle to be reassembled. No reason was ever given other than the lady I spoke with telling me that she told me on the phone I would be responsible for it even though I never agreed. The customer service was terrible and things were not handled professionally. The accident was not my fault, yet I'm left feeling like I'm at a loss and had to come out of pocket money wise. Also, after sending the email I was informed that I would have to drop off the rental car as well before this situation was even resolved leaving me without a vehicle to drive. I definitely don't recommend Germania insurance and if you ever have to file a claim with them please make sure you have either a lawyer or someone on your side that knows what they're doing legal wise.

On November 4th, 2023 I was making a protected left hand turn onto a road when I got hit by a car running a red light. Fortunately the owner was understanding and really nice, he even admitted fault and told the officer he ran the light. He and his kids apologized to me and my fianc before standing around their car. My car was deemed a total loss, and throughout the entirety of the process Germania has been terrible to deal with. To clarify I am not the insured, and I will never be insured by them. My accident happened on a Saturday, and I didn't get a rental till Wednesday afternoon. Then they had me return the rental the next Tuesday , and since they "gave" me an extra 3 days with the rental car they didn't have to reimburse for any of the travelling costs I've had to deal with without a car. I have no car, I'm getting to work late because I'm on someone else's schedule for a ride, and the company is dragging their heels and giving me low ball estimates on what my car is worth. I wouldn't wish this treatment on anyone.
