I had used them til March 2023 I started in February 2022 with down payment 2500 for them to do a writt for my husband that is in prison and over a year they did nothing I paid over 5 thousand and know someone else they are doing same way I also paid extra 384.00 for police records they didn't give all and also removed me from portal I have receipts and messages on my phone I' believe they are scamming people I have all documents from themBusiness response

On ******** *, 2022, ******* ********* and iTeam Legal Solutions entered an agreement to perform post-conviction habeas investigation and assistance to prepare an Application for Writ of Habeas Corpus for her husband, ******** **** *********. Mr. ********* is currently incarcerated at the ********** Unit of the ***** Department of Criminal Justice - Institutional Division. He is currently serving two 35 year sentences for (1) Engaging in Organizing Crime, (2) Aggravated Robbery, and a 20-year sentence for Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance - all three convictions were out of ***** County, Texas. Importantly, Mr. ********* has previous convictions ranging back to 1997.
According to the Service Agreement, iTeam Legal Solutions were to offer services that includes: Prepare Investigation Report, Prepare all Post Trial Documents, Conduct Interviews, Investigation work and Prepare draft for post conviction habeas writ.
The total fee $13,500. The Initial payment $2,500 and monthly payment $400. ******* ********* has paid a total of $2,434.70.
Our office has collected all the records in Mr. *********** case. This includes: **** Classification Records, the District Clerk's Records, the Court Reporter records, Law Enforcement Records, District Attorney's file and his trial attorney records. It goes without saying, these records cost several thousand dollars. Ms. ********* was only obligated to pay a minimal fee of $384.70.
Ms. ******* claims our office "...they did nothing..."
Gathering sensitive legal documents from many different agencies can be a very slow process. Our office must be patient for the govermental agencies to retrieve old records from their archives, and this can be a time consuming matter. The ********** lack the patience for us to get the records. Our office also opened a free confidential phone line where Mr. ********* can call at his own convenience. Our office answered his calls many times, and we responded and acted accordingly to his request. When Ms. ********* calls - we answer her call as well, and we strive to be informative and cooperative to their needs.
Researching, investigating, locating people and gathering the data we need to help Mr. Andrysiak requires patience. We had a time to complete the drafting of the habeas application - May 2023. Because we were not able to match their drum beat and complete matters according to their time table - the ********** were eager to discontinue services.
Ms. ********* called the office requesting a refund and a copy of the entire files. First, with respect to a Term of Agreement, of the Service Agreement signed and agreed by Ms. *********, our office made no promises or guarantees regarding the outcome of the case. Further, there is an understanding there will be no guarantee of a time frame within which the case will be resolved. This was clearly explained to Ms. ********* prior to her signing any documents with this office. Second, with respect to refund, our office has not breached an agreement, and will not refund any portion of the money paid toward our services. According to the Service Agreement, a portion of the money can be reimbursed if the parties enter a signed agreement concerning termination. Third, with respect to having copies of records, Ms. ********* has always maintained total access to our online case managment system called MyCase. This case managment system maintains all clients records - therefore, Ms. ********* is totally aware how to access the complete file. After she made it known that she wanted to discontinue services, the portal remained open allowing her sufficient time to download all the records. If she did not take advantage of that opportunity that is no fault of our own.
As a matter of courtesy, our office will open the portal on 7/14/2023 to 7/31/2023 affording her time to download all files as it relates to Mr. *********.
Ms. ********* was a gracious person, and we strived to do everything to accomodate her and Mr. *********. We felt rushed to get things done, and in doing so, through our experiences, information and important facts often times get overlooked because we act hastily and overly act to please our Sponsors and Clients. When that happens, nothing good comes out of it.
Our office deals with many families, inmates and people all over the State of Texas. This is the first complaint our office has ever dealt with - when Sponsors or Clients become unhappy we will do what we can to alleviate the situation.
