I contracted stone restoration services back in January to regrout my back flagstone patio. ******, the owner, gave me an estimate $2,655 including tax for the clean and regrout back patio and to clean the side patio stone. One of his crews performed the work in late January. I paid him the total. Awhile after the work was done, I noticed that one of the stones in the back patio was loose, sand was underneath the stone instead of the grout, which we had agreed to in writing do for the entire patio. Additionally, his crew had not applied grout between the stones but used some kind of sand. Additionally, when I tested my sprinkler system, I noticed that his work crew had broken my sprinkler line on the left side of the patio. I contacted ****** and told him of the situation. He promised to reimburse me for the cost to repair the sprinkler line and to install the correct grout between the stones in accordance with the 5 year guarantee stated on his website. We tried a few times to set a date but were unsuccessful. After I texted him to find another time, he responded and told me that he had a serious health issue and had to delay until May 16th. On 5/6, he texted me and said that I would now be scheduled for 5/23. We agreed to this date. I did not hear from him after that and when I texted him on 5/22 to ask him if we were good for that date, he did not respond. I have tried multiple times to reach out to him since that date with no response. On June 7th, I had a friend call him to see if he was avoiding my calls and taking other calls for new business. He answered the call, stated his name. My friend said that he just had the wrong phone number and hung up as we had the answer we needed. So to my disappointment, this confirmed that not only was he derelict in his responsibility to make the appropriate repairs per his stated promise, he actually also lied about an illness to get out of it. I have kept all of the texts for documentation.
