Sloane Street Apartments / *********** selectively enforces their leases, claims to be non-smoking when they are not, and cannot manage a community properly. The management team does not care about you unless you are a prospective tenant, or renewing your lease. Once you sign, the horrible service and experiences start. The maintenance team does not implement any long term fixes on major appliances like HV**. Everything they fix is with "duct tape and bubble gum" and it is only a short matter of time before the issue happens again. I have had an ongoing issue with my air conditioner and it has stopped working several times during this hot summer, and it stops working for as many as ***** hours until the unit thaws and parts are replaced or freon is added. The real problem is that the unit is defective and it freezes over so air cannot pass through it to the ducts. Parts of the ** unit, or the entire unit itself, needs to be replaced. However, they refuse to address this fact and pretend that this isn't happening when in fact it is. They just want residents to shut up and pay their ever-increasing rent and thank them for the privilege of living in horrible conditions. Sloane St / *********** simply doesn't care about anything happening to their residents because it isn't happening to them, they will fake smile and pretend to be nice while they essentially tell you to go f*** yourself. There is no empathy or sympathy. No urgency to fix anything. Just lifeless efforts to maintain the status quo and not spend any money on improving things in the community they are supposed to manage. The only good thing about living here is its location and even that isn't a good enough reason to live here. If you are considering moving here, don't. I am not sure where the grass is greener, but this has been my worst experience living anywhere in my entire life. I feel trapped and scammed, and there is nothing I can do about it aside from complain, so here I am.Business response

Our management team diligently investigates any reported violations, and when evidence is found, we take appropriate action, including issuing documented violations and fines. In cases where the source cannot be located, we promptly send out reminders of the policy to specific buildings or areas.
Regarding our service team,they are committed to addressing requests with utmost care and concern. They utilize their expertise, along with the resources, tools, and supplies provided by the company, to ensure repairs are made effectively. In the case of an air conditioning unit experiencing freezing issues, there could be various potential causes, such as thermostat settings in relation to outside temperature or debris in the drain line. Our AC units are relatively new, with plenty of life expectancy remaining. If a part does malfunction, our team is prompt in replacing it as needed.
If there are any additional concerns that you have, which may not have been addressed, we encourage you to submit a service request through the resident portal. This will allow us to resolve any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
