Id recommend you not hire this contractor. Weve spent $25,000 with him, and when work hed done fell short (see photos of lights that wont come on and shelving that is falling out of place) call after call goes unanswered about repairing work weve already paid for. There were jobs he promised to do MONTHS ago a new mantle, installation of lighting, a cabinet for a new TV but texts to him get answers like maybe next week. Ive finally determined I need to hire another contractor for the promised work that isnt done, but I am owed the repairs on the work weve already paid him for, or a refund on the payment. Most of the work he did was good, and he and his crew are knowledgeable, but they didn't complete the job.Details: Work began in April, 2021 last work done was on October 4th. No response to requests for repairs or finishing the work since then Amount paid since April: $25,000 Mr. ******************** committed to painting, getting all lights working, replacing carpeted areas with flooring, installing shelves, general repairs, and turning an atrium into a functioning room for an office, as well as landscaping. He committed to woodwork on fireplace for installation of a television, and installation of dining room light.Nature of dispute: five areas of work we paid for is failing or not working and needs repair. Dispute includes (see photos) paint jobs on which subsequent work, like shelving installation, caused need for touch up. Lights over shelving were repaired, but will no longer come on. Shelving was glued into place I was assured that would work well, but shelf is sagging. Doors installed in office are dragging and scarring both door and floor. Deck was repainted without repairing a splintered area Mr. ******************** told us that should have been repaired before the painting was done and that he would repair it, and we paid him for the work based on that promise.The business has done nothing to address these issues. I am asking for repair, or refund.
