Sargent granite and tile were hired by my elderly parents to build a deck at our ranch house in Baird Texas. Scrap wood, nails were used. The decking within one month has warped and my elderly mother fell through the decking because of shoddy workmanship. Mr. Sargent charged over $3,000 for this work and it was not completed when he was asked to leave because he was not doing the work with correct materials, nailing the decking and horrible workmanship. We are requesting full payback of the money charged for the deck, as it has to be replaced already.

I, ***** ******** was hired to build a deck for the couple stated in the complaint. It was myself and 2 of my employees that built the deck. All materials were purchased new from lowes, there was no scrap material and or used nails or any used materials. The elderly gentleman observed us working on the deck and never said anything about materials or anything that would have led us to believe that they were not happy with our work. We were not at any time asked to leave the job for any reason what so ever. When deck was finished, we were told everything looked good and were paid in full. The picture that was uploaded with complaint, does not show any warping or any holes where the gentlmans mother could have fallen thru. This is the first we are hearing of the claims about the materials, being asked to leave the job an so on. I have 2 employees that were there everyday until we finished the job that can attest to that. We stand behind our work and warranty it, if we would have been contacted by the complaintent or his parents, we would have gladly went out and taken a look at their concerns and tried to address them. And again, we were never asked to leave the job for any reason, job was completed and we were paid in full and were under the understanding that they were happy with everything. I would like to see updated pictures that would show the claims aka warped wood, hole that was fallen thru etc.
