I recently received an upper denture at affordable dentures and implants. There was a quote with implants and without. My insurance paid for the one without in full. When I go to get my teeth pulled, the office manager then told me there was a new expense of $690 but it could be billed. I agreed to that and she said make sure you pay at least something on it every MONTH or it goes to collections. That was the end and I got my surgery and denture. I went today to get my first soft liner and she comes and asks me for the $690. I said Im paying that off I dont have $690 Im on disability. She then told me if I dont pay the $690 by the time I get my denture realignment that I cant get it. She continued to lie and say thats what she told me when she did not I was very clear on my understanding of the billing process. Im disabled and make under $960 a month and now if I cant pay the money in 3 months my teeth wont be finished? Can that happen? Even though she told me different? I would never agree to something I find impossible to do.

I told ******************** would float her money until uncovery - she opted not to get implants so those were removed from plan and he signed a consent (see attached) knowing she owed $690. I do not understand why she thinks she doesn't have to pay it. I even offered to let her pay it out but she would not accept that offer. She also called so many times wanting refills on pain pills which was refused at some point.

      Complaint: 19423828

I am rejecting this response because:

Thats not what happened. In my initial complaint I stated I would pay the bill. But from my understanding it was at my own pace. Im making a payment on April 3, 2023 in the amount of $50. And I will continue to make payments until it is paid off. As I said, Im on disability and dont make but $930 a month and have rent etc. This amount was a surprise to me because I was told my insurance paid it in full. When the amount was brought up on the first appointment date I said I have to cancel because I dont have that amount of money. She then replied with we can bill you the amount and you just have to keep making payments or it will go to collections, not that they wouldnt complete my dental work. If that was said initially, as I said, I would have declined. Then the part about pain pills is 100% false as Im in recovery and Im 3 years sober from opiates. I received one prescription for Tylenol 3s that I took 4 of and they didnt work due to the fact of the medication Suboxone that I take daily that contains Narcan. I called several times complaining of severe pain because I had pieces of bone sticking out of my gums along with several mouth sores which I learned is normal. I was asking for numbing medication, that I eventually received after the dentist saw the condition of my mouth. I dont understand why Im being treated as this drug seeking person who doesnt want to pay my debt, because I will be paying my bill, just over time like I was told I could. But my dental work needs to be completed on the right date as initially discussed.

      Regards,
