To whom it may concern,Several months ago, our **** Expedition started making a ticking/clanking sound. So we chose to take it to a local repair shop, Aggieland Automotive. Our 1st visit, they changed the spark plugs, etc. It made a huge difference, the vehicle was running great then the check engine light came on. Our 2nd visit they again found the problem and repaired it. Soon after, the check engine light lit right back up. During the 3rd visit, while working on the engine a piece broke off into the motor. Since then our vehicle has been nonfunctional. Admittedly, this piece fell into the engine on their watch. The job as a mechanic is to analyze, diagnose, and fix problems whatever they may be.Now what we are hearing is that it is our responsibility, and we need a new engine costing $6500-$8500.Auto repair shops are notorious for dishonest and deceitful practices. We as the customer are blind. We really dont know what happened to our engine. On all 3 occasions our vehicle was RUNNING when we brought it in. Our Expedition is now nonfunctional and has been at Aggieland Automotive for over 7 weeks. We do not have representation and feel the deck is already stacked against us and believe its in both Aggieland Automotive and *********************************** Companys (Aggieland Automotives insurance company) best interest not to pay this claim, and the personal friendship between the two may be a conflict of interest. We entrusted Aggieland Automotive with our vehicle. They did not fix the problem they made it far worse. This is an unfortunate incident but we believe there was negligence and/or incompetence when working on our SUV and now Aggieland Automotive is trying to avoid the cost of making it right. We should not be responsible for the cost of a new engine that was working when we brought it to Aggieland Automotive.

While pulling into the shop parking lot to pick up my vehicle, there was a driver/vehicle in the middle of the parking lot blocking the driveway. The driver of the vehicle, who we later learned was a technician named ********, was shaking his head at me and my driver as we were trying to park. We threw our hands in the air at the driver as we were unsure where to go to get out of the way of the poorly oriented parking lot. ******** was able to get around us and we were eventually able to park, not big deal. Once I got into the shop, my driver left and had apparently flipped off poor ******** in the parking lot. ******** then came into the shop and yelled at me for the reasons described above. He complained that he doesn't like coming to his place of work and being flipped off. I, a paying customer, also did not appreciate being yelled at by the shop that I was getting ready to pay for their work on my vehicle. The *** who was present the entire time, tried to justify the technician without attempting to calm or remove the irate ******** from the front desk area. No apology was given at any time except by the front desk technician who was assisting me (not the ** or ********). My driver later called the office to apologize and understand why the shop was yelling at me and not her. The ** stated that they do not yell at females at their shop. They do, however, seem completely comfortable yelling at males in the shop on the female's behalf. The ** then clarified that the shop did save me money from their own misdiagnosed air conditioner work. This is not saving me money, but I do appreciate their honesty in completing the necessary work to get the A/C functioning properly. Attempted to leave a review with Aggieland Automotive directly, but the provided link would not submit my review.
