I called 4Sons construction to ask for a bid to remodel my bathroom.**** came out after few days he gave me a bid for$10,300. He asked for $2,500 which I gave.He kept putting off start date and told me it would take 10 days to 2 weeks that wouldnt work for us.My husband is a ******* veteran who is bedridden and couldnt take the noise for that long. He finally sent 2 demolition guys out I told them I was canceling the job. They called **** to tell him. I asked **** for refund . He hasnt given it back as of yet. All I want is my deposit back. In response to this complaint; I meet with ****************** at 5:30pm the day before and briefed my guys about the job and start time. Purchased material scheduled personnel, showed up on time with materials the following morning. That morning is when we were informed that she didnt want to proceed with the remodel, after weeks of quoting and discussing her needs felt we had a solid plan (even though she added a few things and change the aping colors of walls).
We understood that her husband was disabled and explained to her that the work would last ***** days but that there would be intermittent pauses for exampleSheetrock mud to dry/grout on the tile to set/painting to dry and that we would not be hammering or beating on wood the whole time. It would be quiet and all subs understood the importance of being clean and as quiet as possible while performing their duties. This was an easy job and still dont understand why she canceled after quoting the job and changing (changes to material and added work which isnt easy and takes time), putting a deposit down, finally agreeing to a contracted price, and being the only contractor to show up and do what she asks. I will refund the deposit but I will be subtracting my cost of personnel showing the day of, time spent quoting and meeting, picking up and returning material, just like any business would. But in my defense receiving threats from family members and being reported to BBB and *************** as a con-artist. I will send the deducted expenses from the deposit and send it to her in snail mail(USPS) because I run a business and time comes with a cost. She wasted my time along with my subs time. We lost a job that yielded more margin by taking and working with the ********.

I am rejecting this response because:
It is untrue.It was weeks because he kept stalling,I didnt change colors,he didnt explain anything except it would take up to two weeks, his workers when they came by I had them call **** and tell him I couldnt wait two weeks,and they told him to take materials back There was no restocking fee ,also he purchased personal items that he didnt return.Also let him have 2new doors. I feel he took advantage of me. I dont believe he was out anything,there was no fee for quote.
