On 3/29/2024 I had a tasting scheduled at 4p. I showed up on time and met directly with the assigned manager .I collected the required photos to submit and complete my job tasks, but I still needed photos of myself to submit. A clocked out employee in the store stopped by my ********* asked if he could help with a couple photos. This is normal protocol for samplers - we must submit a few photos of ourselves. samplers. I completed my tasting, and submitted my necessary final report on time. The next day I received an email from management thanking me for conducting this now completed tasting, but I had a space of information I missed. I updated this and re- submitted it. The next day I receive an email stating that a call was made from a female that was not my Point of contact or ANYONE I met in store, the email made multiple false accusations, as well as berating me for doing the tasks asked of me - getting someone to capture photos of me for submission. I was accused of being drunk - slurring my words - and driving under the influence- all 100% false. I was also chastised for not having a table - although this was already planned with management and a table is often times already set up for you by the store. I was told that although I completed everything required of me - I would NOT be paid for my work, time, and energy & will be charged $17 - because of false accusations by an unknown woman. Pay day was 4/12/24 and my pay has been withheld for both jobs I completed & submitted complete and on time. I am contacting the BBB and filing a Payday Wage Claim with the *************************** As a warning to all Independent Contractors, some Small Business Owners can, and will take advantage of you and your work for no compensation at all. I have no access to my complete report and photos to show legal proof and they have also withheld my invoice.
