I have been going to Hoover's over the past couple of years and have had no complaints. The customer ********************** has always been exceptional, and the work performed has always been top notch. The back their word and their work and is the only shop I will go to!

The low oil alarm came on in my truck. I have used Hoovers for over 30 years. I was not aware they were under new ownership/management. First they quoted me $2000 to replace the oil pump, I asked if it could be anything else, they offered to use computer diagnostic for $129. Turns out it was only the oil pressure sensor. They told me they would have to drop the oil pan so I'd have to have an oil change as well. They quoted me at $795 And they required payment in advance. I paid and After I left, I researched and found it was a $55 sensor(they charged $110) and the sensor was not in the oil pan but on top of the engine block and replacement was as simple as changing a spark plug. I checked several other shops and the same job was quoted at $400 ****** house) or less. I called to have them cancel the job but was told they never give refunds even though the work wasn't done yet. They could not justify the labor costs or why they dropped the oil pan. I told them if they didn't give me the refund I would make sure everyone in town heard this story. They didn't seem interested in protecting their reputation only keeping my money. I have only used Hoovers and nobody else, but I'm done. The new management is taking advantage of the trust and reputation that was built by the previous owner/managers. I highly recommend anyone in commerce take their vehicle somewhere else

Hoover Auto Service had my car for 6 months. The first bill to fix the transmission took 2 months and they charged me $2,500. When I picked up the car, the clutch gave out on the way home. They gave me a bid for an additional $2,400. it took them 4 months to replace my clutch. They had no problem taking my money, AND did the worst job of repairs I have ever seen. They left all the under protection off the car and gave it back to me that way. I will be getting as many people together as I can to walk in front of their business and warn people of these pirates. I will need to take my car to another mechanic to fix their mess. I am out almost $5,000 and they do not care. I wish to warn ALL those looking for a good mechanic to avoid Hoover in Commerce, ***** at all costs. They are thieves. My husband has his point of view and I have mine. When I tried to call back the mechanic would not let me talk to anyone but him (named ****) and was threatening over the phone with profanity and that's when expendable me decided that's my ride and I do not let others control me. We will get the undercover replaced and *** hooovers for everything we can get. I will have to get a new celibrity ride because they are tooo " kuntry stuped " . I think they should buy my next ride. Nothing that wrong with it when turned, constant good maintenance and ten years ownership prior???????? They Owe Me More Than A Apology. They owe Me A New Ride They Never TOUCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would give zero stars if I could. pERSONALLY I will nevER Do BUsiNEss with THEM *****.

These people charged me 2,000$ to fix my car's leak. They did a full diagnostic which they charged me for and replaced 2 hoses along with a coolant flush. I got my car back after they robbed me of my savings and the car is still leaking. I called and told them that my car was still running hot and they told me to come back. They gave me another 2,000$ quote and told me now my radiator and another couple of hoses is leaking. How would they not know that all ready and how would they have missed that during the first diagnostic I was charged for? I would give zero stars if I could. They told me the ******************* who wrote up the original quote wasn't working there anymore. It seems like a big pile to me. Do not go here.
