I purchased a car in June or **************************************************************************************************** as they rushed me through the paperwork one was $1,495.00 for ResistAll and the other was $322.00 for Theft Secure. I only found out about this when I went to trade the cat in for something bigger and was told Commerce ***** added almost $7,000 to my car cost. I spoke to a **** there and he said they would remove the add ons , but that they could not remove the two I just mentioned as they are a "hard add" I told him we didnt ask for them or even know they were on there and that the finance guy rushed us and was shady by adding these in without telling me about them. We didnt want to sign paperwork that day as we had only a few minutes and the finance guy said thats fine i will just tell you were to sign and when he gave us the contract he said this just has the gap and extended warranty sign here then to the next several pages it was just sign here , just sign here etc **** then said he will get my money back to me by taking the $1,800 off the new car we trade in for but we do not want to do business with them again after this, there is no way we trust them. they are not getting these add on removed and refuse to resolve this issue. we want the extended warranty removed, the gap protection, the theft secure and the resistAll removed from the contract. the dealership also claimed to have done work on the car as part of the resistAll package but they did not , when i asked for the invoices showing where $1,495 worth of work was done to my car they said they dont invoice the work ? they have to have a paper trail i said and i was told not really....i just want **** to do what he said he would do this dealership is shady and dishonest

A Chevy Dealership sold me a car with $1700 markups without telling me about! I live in Houston, and I found the car I was looking to purchase in a dealer in the Dallas area. I paid them a $500 deposit over the phone for them to hold the car for me. After 5 days, during the weekend I went there to see the car and discuss the finance options. They were not open to negotiate anything, and when I asked them to match the rate I was offered by a credit union, they did not. They told me I need to make up my mind now as they have other customers ready to buy the car. I said okay I am ready to buy with their 8.99% rate as long they can allow me to refinance it later. They said that would be fine. During this conversation they told me the previous buyer for this car changed his mind because the sticker price had to be increased $400, but that was something by Chevy and they could not do anything about it, and the customer did not agree to that price change. They told me the price now was $36,400, and I was never informed about any markups. It took about 2 hours for the salesperson to do his part, and I was told to wait for the finance guy to be available, and then I could sign the paperwork. So, I never thought they would do a price increase without letting me know. I had to wait another 30 minutes or so for the finance guy to be available, and it was already getting late! So, the finance guy also didn't tell me anything about the markups, and offered me the paperwork to sign. I should have looked carefully what I am signing, but I never thought the price would be different. I was mostly focusing on the monthly amount, and I saw it was very high, but I thought it is because of the high interest rate! They included $1495 charge for something called "resistall", and $200 charge for "theft secure". I saw this later when I returned to Houston! I called them, and they said the General Manager will call me, but I never received a call, or an email from the General Manager.COMPLAINT Please provide the following to process a formal complaint.

I am an Active-Duty Naval Officer. I have had one of the worst car-buying experiences with this dealership. I was approved for up to 43k and took a loan out for 33k. So I can get another 10k if I want to. Two days go by, and super shady stuff begins. I got a message from them saying they cannot accept my Cadillac because what they quoted for it was 10k more than what it is worth. I was like, well, the deal is done, we've already signed paper works, you guys saw the Cadillac in person, and at this point, you've already accepted the car. They were being complete jerks and gave me two options. I either pay the extra 10k or have the deal unwind. If I do not do that, they will report the car stolen. I was quite literally shocked. They knew I was approved for the extra 10k, so they thought I'd agree and pay for it. Mainly because they know it would be such a hassle to deal with unwinding the deal for me. When I reminded them that this was a done deal and they had to send the title paperwork to the DMV, they just flat-out disagreed. Ralph, proceeded to threaten me with criminal charges and said they have done this many times and know how this works. His whole tone is quite condescending and very disrespectful. He or the dealership quite literally does not give a single **** about their customers. They messed up, and instead of owning up to their mistakes, they made me go through all this hassle, hoping that I'd comply since it would be such an inconvenience for me if I didn't. Whatever they did was unethical, and not sending the title to my bank AFTER the deal had been made is not lawful. They knew that I was in the military and had minimal time to deal with such circumstances, so they took full advantage of the situation. Very unethical and disrespectful. I proceeded to unwind the deal and get my car back.

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2023/01/03) */ Mr. ****** either by mistake or purposefully misrepresented his trade. He filled out an online appraisal and told the company that was going to buy his car it was a Platinum AWD CT6. When the third party was notified the followind day, they found it to be not a Platinum AWD but a Luxury. We notified the customer and he wanted us to pay him 1k for his mistake or fraud, we may never know which. We did trailer his car back to him and picked ours up at no charge to him. Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2023/01/04) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Their website did not have the right trim listed for my car hence I had to select whatever was available. I informed them my trim level this multiple times via text, phone calls and also in person when they saw the car. They also inspected the car thoroughly in person. They are a dealership and they should know exactly what kind of car they are buying. Instead they blamed it on me that I gave them the wrong info. They had my cars VIN and they are also a GM dealership so they should know exactly what they are getting. Attached is a screenshot of my conversation with the dealer personnel where I clearly mentioned my trim level. It is pretty obvious they made a mistake, overvalued my car and now they are trying to blame it on the customer. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2023/02/06) */ The option is there and the vin does not decode trim. The car was still misrepresented by the customer. I wonder if we sold him a car and told him it was a specifice trim and he found out later we lied about it , would that be ok, of course not. This whole matter is a complete waste of everyones time. Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2023/02/08) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Not sure why the dealership is still trying to defend their case. They clearly made a mistake and appraised my car at higher value. It wasn't me who set the price. They gave me a price and I agreed to trade it in. Somehow it's my fault? What kind of "in-person" evaluation did they do that they did not figure that out. They physically looked at my car and approved to take the trade in at the agreed value. And later they realized they made a mistake and tried to put that on me by threatening me criminal charges of theft of their car. Quite ridiculous and unethical.
