My dog, Zoey, was brought into this clinic on Saturday March 2nd, due to decreased appetite and energy. She was in good enough health to walk into the facility and resist being taken to the back, in which I had to pick her up and help her. I then met with Dr. Brittany ******* and she recommended we do xrays and IV fluids. I agreed and payed $1053.68 for these services. They then asked me to leave, which I thought was odd, but I figured they'd just ask me to come back when ready. Instead, I received a call a few hours later, in which Dr. ******* said the xrays showed digestive tract issues and that an emergency surgery needed to be conducted to assess the issue. This phone call lasted 2 minutes. I was never asked to come in to review the xrays or to see Zoey before surgery. I get a call a few minutes later from an employee of the clinic, explaining the potential charges and asking for payment up front. I told them no, I would not pay up front and they said I could get approved for a CareCredit account for the amount, and that would be enough to proceed. I completed that application while on the phone and once the employee could see that I had the correct funds, they moved forward with surgery. I did NOT approve a charge to my CareCredit account, though I later found out I was charged $7,500, which I immediately disputed with CareCredit. Zoey was then taken into surgery and a few hours later, I was called by Dr. Valentin ******, saying the damage was extensive and that Zoey would not survive. He asked if I would approve euthanasia. Without giving me any other options, I said yes. I was never asked to come see her before euthanasia. The next morning, I received an invoice from the clinic for $8,553.68, including the xray and IV services that I had already paid for. I honestly don't understand how this business can operate and treat people this way. I seek to get a full removal of all charges, other than the $1053.68 already paid for the xrays.
