My family and I attended Main Event on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 to celebrate my daughter’s 8th birthday. I pre booked bowling lanes (1hr of play time) ahead of time to avoid any issues. When I arrived at the time of my reservation, we were able to start bowling. I asked for assistance from a team member and while he was there I asked him where the server was to place a food order. He explained that the server called out and I had to visit the bar to place my order. I walked during the bowling game to place my order so the kids could eat. I placed my food order at 2:00 exactly with the bar. It took me 20 minutes to get my drink order and by that time, the bowling ended. I called the manager over because I’m booking the lanes, I was told I would have a server helping us and to find out day of that I now needed to walk and wait and waste my hour of game time with standing at a bar I didn’t think that was fair. I initially asked to have another hour of game time which Main Event could not provide. They handed us arcade game cards and told us they were sorry. We decided to wait at the lane for our food that was placed at 2:00pm. Two hours passed and our food never came. The manager couldn’t tell us where the food was and explained that he would go back in the kitchen to personally make us food. This individual was not a chef. At that point, we asked for a refund for everything (food and bowling) because we were so upset with the service. The manager, Gary, told us he would cancel the pending charges. However, upon looking at my bank account today I noticed that I was charged for everything. I cannot get ahold of anyone at the company and this is my last resort. I need my money back for at least the food I never received.
