On 3/3/2023 I was scheduled to make an RV purchase at Mcclains in Corinth. *********************, called me before my appointment time and told me he couldnt get the refrigerator to work & if it he understands if that would be a dealbreaker and that they may have a refrigerator that would work for my RV but would get back to me. A little later he text that it was working. On 03/6/2023 I text ***** telling him fridge was still not working and was told it would have to plug into a 30 amp for it to work. On 03/25/2023, I plugged into a 30 amp & after 2 days I text him asking if there was something special I needed to do for the refrigerator to work & that the check light was on. He asked for a photo and never responded back. On 3/27/2023 I paid a technician to come out & he informed that the refrigerator was bad and that he could tell by the color of the ammonia that had leaked out that this was something that had happened several months prior. He suggested I go back to Mcclains. On 3/28/2023 I went to Mcclains and spoke to *************************** & informed him of everything that was going on. He stated that I purchased and signed for the unit as is. I agreed and explained that I was under the assumption that the refrigerator was working because thats what I was told, which took away my option to back out considering this would cost me about $3000. He told me that he was going on what was in writing. I told him I also have in writing that I was told it was working. He told me that did not matter and they were unwilling to do anything to remedy the issue. On Monday, 04/03/2023 I had another technician come out to replace the refrigerator and they suggested I call to the dealership and ask if they wanted to pick the old one up. They informed *************************** that the refrigerator was a major fire and safety hazard and should have never left the lot. ****** requested that I text him photos and he would look into it and call me back. I never heard back from him.

I had looked at an RV at McClains dealership. I put a 5000.00 dollar downpayment on the RV. They ran the transaction thru my bank. An alert was put on my account for the large amount. Identity fraud was put on the account. I had trouble getting thru to the banker. Stopped at an office and was told to call another number. What an ordeal I had to go thru to verify myself. Finally got it straightened out. During this time some other issues came up. Now the problem I am having is was told that the downpayment is nonrefundable. The paperwork I received from them was for the purchase. I had not signed anything else. I feel this is not right of the dealership to not refund my money. It appears to be a practice of this dealership. To not refund funds. Told me that if this did not go thru I would get my money back. I have also read all of the fine print and nowhere in the print does it say nonrefundable. I would call this consumer fraud. My attorney will be notifying the dealership. I will pay 500.00 for cleaning and prep work done to the RV. And 500.00 to the salesperson for his time. I do expect to get 4000.00 back. My experience with this has been horrible. And so many others have gone thru this same deal as I have. Hope to get this resolved.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/11/08) */ ****** agreed to purchase a truck and Fifth Wheel. Two Buyers Orders were signed and agreed to as well as a no-opt out form clearly stating that the transaction wasn't cancellable. Conversations with multiple employees, managers, and text messages made this clear as well. We do not want the $5k partial payment, we want to sell an RV. When we pull inventory off the market and start to prep for delivery it is an expense to the company and potentially lost sales from other buyers on the same unit. This is shared anytime we agree on a purchase transaction and never hidden from customers. The offer to pay for cleaning and time was never shared and seems very fair. I will share this with the Sales Manager and he will contact you.

I bought a 2019 32ft Grand Design Transcend from another dealer in 2019. I took the camper to Mcclains for one reason and that is that they sell the identical campers. I figured if they deal with these all the time the fix should be pretty good or east to deal with. I got the quote from both incidents which were insurance claims. I dropped my camper off and the hole in the floor was covered with a bag taped to the floor so no crazy stuff could get in or mildew. I call a month later and nothing had been done. We were going out of town so they said we could use it no problem so we did and brought it straight back 4 days later. I let 6 months go by before making a call on how things were going with the repairs. I learned nothing at all had been done and so I went by there. My camper was sitting outside with the hole in the floor in the rain in an open lot/field with nothing coving it. When you walked in you could tell a small animal had walked all around as there were feet tracks all throughout the camper. I fought with them for about 2 weeks and finally they got it in and started work on it. I checked back in on it a couple weeks later and Raquel stated the outside was completely done but they were waiting on the inside. She stated it was the insurance. I called and They said they haven't heard anything from Mcclains in months. I got the issue resolved by calling on three way so they could talk. I let it go for another couple weeks went and looked at the camper and half the things on the outside that was supposed to be done was not done. They were paid over 24k I picked the camper up and wanted her to do a walk through to show me what has been done and check it off the list. She refused to do so having the mechanic walk though it with me. I told him I was videoing and he didn't care. I asked what all had been done and he confirmed the things not done were in fact not done. I have called left messages etc. I do not want to go through the courts but I don't know.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/09) */ Contact Name and Title: Regina G*** service mgr Contact Phone: 4057894773 Contact Email: regina.g***@mcclainsrv.com Estimate done in June, received approval & Parts ordered in August and last part on original estimate received in December. In March Mr. ******** added additional items to the repair. To our knowledge, everything on the exterior estimate was completed, with the exception of the items added in March however, when I followed up with Mr. ******** he indicated that thigs were NOT completed. I am guessing, the items that he later cancelled that were ordered in March. I sat an appointment for him 8-9-22 at 11:00 to go around this unit with myself, my service advisor, the parts lady and the body man that performed the repair. When Mr. ******** arrived, I was finishing up on a meeting. According to our time stamp overhead cameras, he pulled onto the service lot at 11:25, got out of his truck at 11:28 and pulled off the service lot at 11:31, opting to not wait to see me at all. I placed a follow up call to him to see if maybe he just went to lunch and was returning but he indicated he would not return and would be seeking council. Mr. ******** is owed a refund for the interior portion of his second claim with National General however he has disputed the final supplement on the Allstate claim(exterior) and Allstate will not settle until the dispute is resolved. Without being able to go around this exterior with the customer and the bodyman, with the estimate and prior pictures, I am at a loss on how to resolve the issue. The customer must present the unit and allow enough time for us to address his issues line by line in order for us to help him. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have called several times trying to get the issue resolved but no one will return phone calls. It wasn't until I filed a complaint on BBB until I received a phone call from Regina. She knew from when I took the camper off their lot months ago things were not finished. Hence the reason we are taking it somewhere else. I did not add any parts to be ordered whatsoever. These parts were supposed to be ordered months before but Raquel failed to do so. I did not bother this place until approximately 6 months of them having it. When I called Raquel said everything on the outside was done and just waiting on the cabinets. I ended up going up there to look at it and nothing on the outside had been touched nor the cabinets been ordered. She did damage control and had them change a few things out the next couple weeks. When I spoke with Regina she acted as if she knew nothing about the camper not being done. She asked if I would bring the camper in to have it looked at. I told her I really didn't want to due to the fact when I picked it up I asked her to do a walk through with me and she refused to do so. I ended up agreeing to meet the next day around 11am. I showed up to the business and the guy up front states Regina was doing an interview. I asked how long it would be and he stated it would be an hour maybe 2. Not only was this out of line and poor business but it shows what I have been dealing with. She called me asking to meet to hopefully fix the problem and now I have to wait an hour maybe two? I drove approximately 45 minutes waisting my time and diesel. I received a call about an hour later from Regina asking if I was going to come back? Are you serious? Hopefully someone from the corporate office will be able to fix the problems and not these two I have been working with for over a year. They are the reason we are in this position in the first place. I need the insurance payment to be returned on what was not completed so the company actually doing the work can be paid. And the claim that hasn't been done at all that payment needs to be returned so the company can do the work.

I bought a 2009 Winnebago journey 34Y from Mcclains RV in Corinth tx. On the online description of the RV under exterior it said that it had a trailer hitch somebody had removed the hitch prior to purchase it will cost me over $1000 to have an hitch installed since they said that it had a hitch I thought of that when I bought the unit without seeing that it was actually missing I have called twice to talk to the sales department as well as sending a note on an email no return phone calls or messages. I paid over $92,000 for this unit I expect the description to be full and accurate that my friends is false advertising they need to buy me a hitch and put it on like their ad said it had

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/08) */ Since we received this RV, it has not had a hitch. The customer looked at it in person three times before purchasing from us. This RV is a 2009 and was sold AS-IS and acknowledged that with a signature three times, including our AS-IS STAMP that says "THIS RV HAS NOT BEEN SERVICED OR CHECKED BY THE SELLING DEALER. BY MY SIGNATURE, I AGREE TO PURCHASE THIS UNIT AND ITS COMPONENTS 'AS IS'. AS IS MEANS- NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEES, AND EVERYTHING MAY NOT BE IN WORKING CONDITION." The customer is referring to our website ad that he says listed the hitch as an option. I'm not sure if it did or not, but there is a disclaimer on the bottom of each listing that says "All information is as accurate as possible but errors can occur. We will take every effort to minimize the errors." Regardless, there were many opportunities to verify the equipment on the RV.
