Abandonment of work Contract signed for work to begin on January 1, 2022 Contract was to build a deck for an above ground pool that we already purchased. Contractor agreed to install pool, build deck around it, outdoor kitchen area w/roof, lattice around pool area, install fencing behind the pool, and on the left side of the house, complete building of an existing chicken co-op and pour sidewalk from pool to front porch.We paid $25,000 in advance with a cashier's check.Contractor agreed the project would take a maxium of 2 weeks but we gave him 2 months to complete.Contractor constantly had different workers on a daily basis. We have the contractor a remote to both our gate and our garage which he still has in his possession.Everyday was a different complaint as to why no one was going to work on the project that day, 2 weeks turned to 2 months to 6 months to now non completion. Contractor was put in jail for a felony charge for 2 weeks and his partner came to tell us that he was unable to complete because his partner would not give him money. We tried over and over to give him chances to complete project but he would not show up and would text that he would and nothing. We reached out to him and he would promise again and no show. We finally told him that if he did not complete job that we would file criminal charges. He had his lawyer from his other case call us to try and see how it could be fixed and we told his lawyer that we would settle for our money back for part of the project because we did not trust that he would complete the project. His lawyer said he would give his client the request and never heard back from either one. Contractor left his trailer on our property but I filed a police report with the ***************** ************ and he is not allowed on our property.Since then contractor has changed name of business several times from Gardunos Remodeling ETC to Gardunos ***************************** to recently Your ***********************Initial Complaint

.we contacted mr ********************** in 11/01/2021 to a remodel project bathroom addition, driveway pad, outdoor bathroom , fireplace. He never pulled permits for construction (it was part of the large deposit he requested) and after we discovered he didnt, he promised post permits are ok but it has been 11 months and no permits so all his construction is still illegal.Bathroom still not finished duo to structural problems cause by negligence of contractor with foundation.
