On April 16, 2022, I along with my two minor children checked into the Candlewood Suites. The entire hotel had a strange smell. After receiving my room key for I proceeded to room 204. Immediately upon entering the room I noticed it smelled like mold and an overpowering smell of bleach. The tile floor was wet and slippery. The rug in the room was also moist. I attempted to call the front desk and realized the phone did not work. I quickly returned to the front desk to asked to switched to another room and was switched to room 118. The floor of the this room was also wet. I dried the with a towel and left due to having plans. Upon my return, I noticed the rust in the bathtub and again the floor was wet. Around midnight, as I laid down, several roaches scurried from the back of the nightstand. I quickly gathered my children and all of my belongings and made my way to the front desk. I told the attendant at the front desk that we needed to check out immediately due to the roaches. The front desk apologized stating that the owner is aware the issues with the roaches and refuses to do anything about it. I stated that I wanted a refund to which she told me I need to speak to the manager on Monday April 18th. I have called 5 times since April 18 to no avail. I have also called the ********** of ********************* to file a compliant as well, to no avail.
