The conditions at this complex are deplorable. The hallways are soaked with dog urine and smell horrible. There was a pile of dog f**** that remained on the hallway floor for three days before it was removed. The management has placed urinal deodorants on some of the walls to try and cover up the odors. I am supposed to have a smoke detector in my bedroom, but it hasn't been installed for almost a year, although it was requested when I moved in. There is absolutely no security in the complex and several doors remain unlocked 24 hours a day, providing easy access to anyone who cares to enter, leaving the elderly residents vulnerable to crime. The doors to the common restrooms on the first floor are left locked, inconsiderate of the elderly residents who may have bladder control problems or incontinence. Anyone who complains to management is harassed and threatened with phony "lease violations." I'm sure that this report will result in retaliation by management, but I'm tired of living in such conditions.

      02/29/2024

Today 2.29.2024 was the first the community was notified of ******************* complaint.

In response to the complaint. We have a specific instructions for residents with animals in our lease agreements and we hold everyone responsible for the care of their animals and community.

Residents are responsible for picking up after their pets. When they do not they are given a violation as outlined in their TAA lease agreement.

The trash by the elevator was moved to a central location Monday and Thursday mornings during pick up to make it easier for on site staff to remove the residents trash for them as a courtesy service.

This service was started by on site staff as a way to provide further assistance to the residents it is not a requirement.

The paint that was in the foyer was left by a contractor who has since picked them up to complete a repair on site.

The '' unknown chemicals'' was paint delivered to us by ******************************* when we were out on an apartment tour.

We do have air fresheners in the hallways as a way of keeping the hallways smelling fresh.

The bathrooms on the first floor have been locked as of January of this year due to damages created by residents that we are in the process of repairing.

The damages include stall doors broken off due to electric wheelchair, hygiene and health issues as well. We have had residents use the restroom and leave ***** matter on the floor, doors, walls and commode.

We have a key fob entry system and call box that allows entry to the community after hours and on weekends for the front door. The side doors are only ever able to be accessed by key fobs that only residents have along with immediate family members in case of emergency. At this time we do have a work order in with ********************** to make a repair to our back patio door for a new striker plate to be installed so that the door will close more efficiently.

We have had the hallways vacuumed several times since the date of this complaint and they are on schedule for shampooing as well.

No smoke detectors or fire safety equipment is needed or missing in our community. We are also in no violation of any fire safety codes and have received our updated inspections with the city as required.

Please see the attached photos of the areas in question to show these items are not an issue and have been taken care of properly.
