  Made a deal to asphalt my driveway with hot asphalt on 21 May 2021 and the work was not completed because they ran out of material and after numerous phone calls they will not come back to finish the job even though they were paid. They spread dirt along the taxiway that is washing onto the taxiway when it rains creating a situation that results in propeller damage. The agreement was for the dirt to be hauled away. I would like them to finish the job or pay what it will cost to have another contractor finish the job. Slick talkers but not reliable or honest based on my experience.

  I am rejecting this response because: I was not provided an invoice.  I have attached a copy of the canceled check I paid with.  Please let me know if I should be pursuing this with the **** as a tax evasion issue, or file a legal action as my neighbor has done.  Several jobs were done in the Airpark on 21 May 2021 and everyone who had work done is unhappy with the results.

  We have never been on a job we did not finish. From the looks of the pictures it appears that he has a problem with the mud on the side washing onto the driveway. We would suggest getting proper drainage done out there so it doesn't ruin his driveway. We would also like to have a picture of the area he is stating we didn't finish? Thank you.

  I am rejecting this response because: there was not a drainage problem until the dirt that was removed where the asphalt was installed was spread along the East side of the taxiway about eight inches deep.  The agreement was for the dirt to be hauled away.  This resulted in the area beside the taxiway being higher than the taxiway thus causing dirt and rocks to be washed onto the taxiway when it rains.  The job was clearly not completed as is evident by the uneven edge and the fact that it is even angled the wrong way from the agreed to drawing which is also attached.  ******************* helped me prepare the drawing prior to work starting because I had to get approval from the property owners architect committee and the property owners board of directors before work could begin.  The picture that has the yellow extension cord laying on the ground is what the agreed to edge of the asphalt per our agreement and what was approved by the property owners association.  The excess dirt that is causing the drainage issue is in this area.

  We are so sorry he is having a drainage issue, however, we were hired to do the asphalt. I'm sorry having us lay the asphalt has caused him a drainage issue, but we only do asphalt.

  I am rejecting this response because:  the contractor is not addressing the issues with a proposed solution.

   

  1.  The laying of the asphalt is not complete as agreed to before the job was started.  It is very clear in the pictures as well as in the drawing that ******************* help me draw so I could get approval from the property owners association before the job was started.  The jagged edge of the asphalt and the angle in the wrong direction, based on the drawing and the direction traffic enters, clearly shows the job was not completed as agreed.

  2.  The dirt that was removed so the asphalt could be installed was not hauled away as agreed before the job was started.  This is obvious in the pictures.  The dirt was spread along the taxiway thus increasing the dirts elevation above the taxiway elevation causing dirt and rocks to be washed onto the taxiway when it rains.  This is a serious hazard to propellers and May result in expensive propeller damage.

   

  I would like the connector to finish the job as originally agreed or pay for a local asphalt connector to finish the job.  I have checked with two local contractors and they both have a minimum charge of $4,500 but it could cost more depending on the price of the material and fuel.  Either of these options will be better for both of us that forcing me to take more aggressive actions.

  I used this company for *********** on my driveway and a large part of the install on the driveway is not sticking down, so the work done was under the warranty that they gave me which was 1 year. I have called, emailed, and spoken to *************** and ********** for over 6 months now. as of 2 weeks ago, no more email response on my warranty and all phone numbers have been shut down. I have the contract install date and the warranty email. I have been very professional with Phez Asphalt and don't know how to move forward with getting my driveway fixed.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  Phez Asphalt Construction and Paving installed a pebble/ tar driveway on top of existing asphalt and gave me a year warranty. Within the first 2 months, the pebbles did not stick to the thin tar that was applied to the asphalt and i could not get out of my driveway onto the main road without slipping and flying pebbles everywhere. I contacted them and spoke to 3 people including the secretary multiple times and they were going to come and fix the issue. They continued to ghost me and never came out to do the warranty repair. Now my very large driveway has spots with no tar / rocks and the gate area going to the main road has the pebbles missing and you can see the old asphalt exposed. This area is 20 x 10 alone and looks bad. The number and contact info is disconnected and I am afraid this will never get resolved. They have taken the money I paid per contract and ran.  Repair; Finish the job

  We have been over there and looked at it .We had equipment out there and were ready to fix it and there was nothing to fix. This is a beautiful job and the rock is supposed to disappear into the oil. It is designed to do just that and is why we roll it all in together. If you can send more pictures, we will come and look at it again when we have the time again.

  They did not come out and look because if they did, they would have noticed this as it is the first part of my driveway going into my property. They also did not tell me they came to my property nor did I receive a email or call from them telling me that they will not fix this issue and will not honor the warranty. They also have a non working number now that I can not contact them. I have been very nice about this whole process but you can see clearly that this is wrong and needs to be corrected. My wife also works from home and did not see anyone come on the property to inspect it or noticed trucks / equipment outside our house.

  Contacted this company, you recommended, to chip seal and seal coat parking lot. They chip sealed parking lot and left all the trash, old asphalt ect. In the fire lane . Was supposed to double chip seal, didnt do that, grass is growing all thru lot, didnt compact it at all, have tire tracks thru chip seal. Work was done feb 21 2022, paid for chip seal and they said they would be back, called after 2 weeks and they said we will get to it, never showed up or answered text ect,Traded messaging again, they said it would be done end of march, no call no nothing. Now Im going to have *** this s***** company!!!! *****

  We did one section that he did pay for and he was satisfied with it. We have told him we would do his other section (this is what he is complaining about) and that we have not been back down to finish, he has not paid us for. We have been in contact with him to ask him to please be patient with us we would be back and finish. We offered for him to have someone else do the work so he wouldn't have to wait and nothing seems to satisfy him.

  they were never in contact with me, I never said job was good, they left the trash asphalt in the parking lot, had to pay sometelae to clean it up!   Very unsatisfactory work, grass growing in parking lot.

  We have tried to work a resolution with **************. We would have gladly hauled off the old asphalt but his employee told us to leave it there. We were just doing what we were told.
