NOTE: ******* ******* ******** ** ****** ***** *** ***** ****, has a power of attorney to conduct business for her and submitting this complaint on her behalf. On 5/16/2022 a technician from Indoor Comfort came out to perform maintenance on the central air conditioning unit (under maintenance agreement entered into on 6/18/2022 invoice ********* At the time the technician had to add 3 lbs of freon (cost: $315) and instructed me, ******* ******* to buy a can of spray paint, any color, and paint the part residing outside of the unit to seal any leaks if there were any suggesting that i do that sooner rather than later and if we had any other issues to give them a call. I purchased the paint the next morning and did as instructed. On the evening of June 8th, the house was hot and the thermostat registered 83 degrees. I called Indoor Comfort, explained the issue and that they had just been out on 5/16 and was asked if we had ******** **** ******. Upon replying yes i was told to call **** *** sent ***** *** ************ out on June 9th . The technician used a leak detector and discovered there were several leaks in the part and the lines leading to/from the part and would need to be replaced. He stated he didn't understand why someone would tell me to spray paint the part and 3 lbs of freon was quite a bit and should have been a sign there was a leak that should have been detected. *** would cover the cost of the parts and labor but not the freon which would be $900. Talked to Crystal at Indoor and asked what they could do. They contacted *** about coming back out but since they no longer service our zip, *** wouldn't approve them to come out. My mother called Indoor on 6/14, spoke with Leslie for reimbursement since they were negligent . Leslie stated she couldn't authorize and would have the manager call. On 6/15 @9:46am, my mother called and left a message and she still has not heard from Indoor Comfort as of 6/22/22. Would like $315 refunded for freon.
