I had scheduled HVAC services at my home for Dec 15, 2022, and made a 50% down payment of $487. I had to cancel the service because my Father-In-Law passed away on Dec 11, and I needed to be in the Rhode Island/Mass area until December 29. I left multiple phone messages to cancel, and also canceled via text message. However I have received a bill for the additional $487 for services that were never provided. I have initiated a dispute through my credit card company for the $487 down payment. I want this company to immediately withdraw the $487 bill they sent me for service that was not provided.Business response

Spoke with the business who indicated that they were in direct contact with the consumer back in January and confirmed that he did not owe money since services were not provided. They indicated that during the conversation, the consumer said they were going to put a stop payment on the 50% deposit that was placed. The business is not sure if that was done, but reiterated that no money was owed and that he should have received a refund. If not, he is encouraged to reach out to the business directly.Customer response
