Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2023/01/23) */ There is a lot to unpack with this complaint, but I will keep it short. Buying a car on a green light does not mean there won't be anything wrong with it. Our governing body, the National Auto Auction Association, which sets all the rules buyers, sellers and auctions follow says there should not be any one item over $600 wrong with the car. They actually spell out what can be arbitrated and what cannot be arbitrated. They also spell out mileage limitations concerning arbitrations. You can't arbitrate a vehicle for any reason if you have put over 200 miles on the vehicle. In this case, the vehicle had 489 miles on it, so it was not eligible for any arbitration. However, we called the actual seller (the auction does not sell vehicles) and he decided to try and help, not the auction. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2023/01/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) There was only 290 miles out on vehicle an the vehicle needs a timing chain which is 2000 dollars plus to fix 1400 over the 600 cost customer stated has just fixed timing an has warranty so they took car an had it for over a month an never fixed timing chain an gave it back the 2000 it cost me to fix timing should be discounted cause regardless of saying I went over the miles by 90 miles the vehicle was taken in like they where going to fix the warranty an I have the same timing issuesInitial Complaint

I reached out to Robert ****** general manager, on 8/18/20 regarding the increased traffic this business was creating in the area. It's an auto auction place where a large amount of cars get delivered. They have an enormous parking lot but continue receiving more vehicles than they can handle. That area is primarily apartments and there is an even an elementary school on the opposite corner. He stated he would help with the traffic issue and it lasted maybe a week or so. I'm not sure if he's not physically there to see how incredibly disruptive the whole business is. On a daily basis, they have large tow trailers or tow trucks taking up both sides of the road and parking on the curved corner of Sheila & Hargrove to where it's impossible to pass thru unless you just blindly go thru and hope there's not another vehicle coming in the opposite direction. When it isn't the trailers, the people dropping off vehicles take up both lanes on Sheila because they're trying to drop off their cars asap. It leaves minimal, if any, space for resident traffic to go thru. They can easily make a single file line against the sidewalk to allow the rest of us to proceed but they refuse. Also, many of their employees don't even yield as they should. They exit their parking lot with complete disregard for anyone else and have had many near-misses. On Wednesdays, they park vehicles all over the median on Lakefield Blvd and there's clear signs saying NO PARKING ON MEDIAN. It blocks all visibility for drivers on there and on Sheila. I would like there to be extreme traffic control implemented for this business. It's very dangerous as it is and I fear there will inevitably be an accident, whether vehicular or pedestrian involved. If they have too many vehicles to smoothly, safely and respectfully have their deliveries done, they need to schedule them for different times (overnight) or move it entirely. This street does not belong to them.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/15) */ In response to Ms ****'s complaint, traffic can get pretty congested at times on Sheila lane. We have acquired 3 additional pieces of property to help alleviate this issue. Two pieces of property for Customer parking on sale day and one piece of property for storing sold units where more of the car haulers can be at that location instead of taking up space at the auction location. We have been diligently working on this issue. Finding, negotiating and getting plans through the city of Dallas takes time, but we are within a few months of completion.
