i paid for a used engine for a 2005 mercury Monterey on December 7 2023.I paid $700 thru cash app.I was told origanaly I would receive engine around dec 19 when I not receive I reached out and was told the carrier had transportation issues. I was told it would arrive one week later. After that time frame passed I tried calling again an apparently my phone had been blocked. I later used a landline and was told the company was having issues and they would get back to **** called again using landline and was told I needed to provide a copy of my drivers license. I used a email called ******************************** and got a reply from a *************************** who said my engine was being held at va.customs and again asked for my drivers license and also social security number.I called va customs and they told me it sounded like a scam and to ask for the transaction and tracking number.I emailed back twice but never received a reply. When i looked up the address the website uses it shows a used car parts location with a different phone number. When I called the number I was told they had never heard of drive me auto parts.the only information i was given on shipper was a phone number ************.No one answers this number and do not return messages left.i was told to use payment link thru *********************************************** from *********************** at drive me auto parts.the invoice number is ******* and says paid in full. I'm not sure how to send you this.ITis on my email but i am 68 and do not know how do pdf or other forms. Any help would be appreciated. Was trying to help a neighbor not get ripped off.they post on their website they are bbb accredited but I now don't think that was true.
