I was online on 9/12/2023 looking for a used 2011 ****** Tacoma engine for my truck. I put my info. on a few online sites where different people contacted me regarding the ****** engine. ***************** with Auto Wrecking, per text contacted me about an online request for engine. Company is actually Quality Automobile Parts at ***** ************** ******, ** ***** per their invoice. Told me they had 2 engines in stock, best one had 51k miles, A grade, been tested and certified. Said on text they had performed quality and leak down test, excellent condition and ready to install. Price, $3,650 free delivery to commercial place. I asked for VIN# of vehicle where engine was coming from per my mechanic Mr. *** to run CarFax report. Said they had to take engine out of truck. *** gave me a VIN# ***************** which belongs to a 2015 ****** Tacoma truck per Carfax report Mr *** ran. Mr *** sent me a picture of the wrecked truck in question where engine was to come from. I asked ***************** to send me a picture of truck with the engine. He sent me one but it was not correct one. I sent him picture Mr *** sent me on text with wrecked truck. *** then sent me another picture on text which resembles what my mechanic sent me. We went ahead with purchase because he furnished us a VIN # as we requested and felt like ***************** was dealing with us fairly. He told us the 2015 engine from the truck was in one of their other locations in *******, ******* and it would take 7-9 days to get it. He gave us the impression that we were buying directly from Quality Automobile Parts which he said is in ****** ** . My wife's credit card got charged and I asked for an invoice receipt. *** ended up using my wife's credit card to buy an engine from another company in *********, **. A 2007 engine full of rust and unusable per Mr **** My wife *********************** did not authorize *** to use her credit card to buy an engine from another company. I ordered a used motor . I received the wrong size motor. I asked for a refund and did everything that was required of me the next day in order to receive my refund. Now Ive been calling the business Litterally every business day for over a year now and I have yet resolved this issue. I feel as if Im getting scammed out of $1720 dollars.They ordered the wrong size motor. The guy who placed the order English language isnt good so he must have misunderstoodInitial Complaint

10/24/2022. Paid $900 for a motor and $125 for s/h. They sent the wrong motor. I needed a 2.2L with a cam sensor. ***** S10 ****. I been getting the run around since Feb. **** the owner of the company said it will take 5 business days before it reflect on my card. See attached invoice, #UQAP-XXXXX. This transaction took place back on MAY 25TH OF 2022. I have made numerous attempts to reach these people about my refund since they sent out the wrong engine to my mechanis, Adam, at AMO Autocare here in Port St. Lucie Florida. His number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. We've been getting the 'run around' by these people, as they promised a bill of lading for pickup of the wrong motor sent, which has been sitting on a freight pallet at his facility. I was told 2 weeks ago that a refund was approved my their management, yet they refuse to answer calls when I try to find out what is going on. Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2022/10/20) */ They're still at it ... they can be contacted at XXX-XXX-XXXX or XXX-XXX-XXXX. My mechanic still has the wrong motor they sent on a pallet here in Port St Lucie, Fl, and have not sent their shipper to pick it up. Stay on these crooks, I've yet to see my refund of $950.00 plus shipping for the wrong item. *****
