I came into this business to bail one of my friends out of jail I was told yesterday that the price would be 736.00 so when I came back the next day to pay for it I was told there would be an additional charge of $85. While discussing it with the woman not only was she rude to me by telling me it's not her concern and that the price won't change not even admitting that it was their fault just making it seem as if it's my problem. I asked to speak to a manager which he also was rude to me I will also be suing for compensation

We paid them to get my son out of jail. They said they could within 4-8 hours. Now they are saying they don't have an attorney to go in the rain. It was raining before they took my money. I want a full refund. They lied to me.

      Business response

      02/04/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/02) */ Business Name: Cowboy Bail Bonds Business ID #: XXXXXXX Case ID #: XXXXXXXX Consumer: ******** ***** Case Opened: XXXX-XX-XX To: Better Business Bureau From: ****** ********, VP ******@cowboybail.com Office: XXX-XXX-XXXX Cell: XXX-XXX-XXXX Re: Defendant ****** ***** - REF # XX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXX On Friday, 11/26/2021, at approximately 11:15 pm, the defendant's dad, ******** *****, came into the Cowboy office to get his son, ****** ***** out of jail. ****** ***** was in the Midlothian Jail on (4) charges; 1) Tarrant County Evading arrest w/ Vehicle $2500 bond; 2) Tarrant County Obstruction of highway/passageway $1,000 bond; 3) Dallas Police Department traffic ticket 4) Dallas Police Department traffic ticket. The dad wanted specific information about how long it would take for the defendant to be released from jail. We informed him it would be a lengthy process due to the necessary legal process of getting the defendant's "original signature" on each bond. Our Tarrant County agent would need to drive to the Midlothian jail, request to see the defendant, get defendant's signature on the (2) Tarrant County bonds and then drive the bonds to the Tarrant County jail for posting. Our Dallas agent would also be driving to the Midlothian jail, request to see defendant, get defendant's signature on the (2) Dallas Police Dept bonds, then drive them back to the Dallas city jail for posting. On a Friday evening this would take some time with traffic. The dad decided not to do the bonds because he wanted his son out faster and he left our office without paying money. The next day on SATURDAY, 11/27/2021, at approximately 5:45 pm, the defendant's dad, ******** ***** came into the Cowboy office and again wanted to post the (4) bonds listed above. Again, inquiring about time of release, and was told again of the time situation and also that it was bad weather and traffic would be bad. The dad decided to proceed with Cowboy to get the bonds posted. We approved all bonds to be posted at 6:21 pm. Both the bonds and the tickets were assigned to the appropriate agents to post at this time. At approximately 8:00 pm our manager contacted the dad to let him know the Tarrant County bonds were posted but due to the weather our ticket agent would not travel until the morning to post the traffic ticket bonds. The mom was upset, not our co-signer, but our manager told the dad "COWBOY WOULD GIVE A FULL REFUND ON THE TICKETS", which was $250.00, if they did not want to wait until the morning. The dad did not pick up refund. THE DEFENDANT WAS IMMEDIATELY "RELEASED" FROM JAIL after the posting of the (2) Tarrant County Bonds. THE TICKETS WERE NOT POSTED THE NEXT MORNING because the defendant had been released. As of today, 12/2/2021, the dad has not picked up the $250.00 refund. This is still available for refund. Our office will contact the dad again today to let him know the refund is available. Cowboy Bail Bonds' goal is always to provide good customer service with knowledgeable information and expectations. We provided timely information as quickly as available and offered remedies. We always refund money for services not rendered. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/12/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Lies. The dad and the mom came Friday night together. Before they arrived they called to see what Allen would be needed. They were told just the $800 and ID's. When they arrived they were both shocked to find out the $800 was really $1200 including fees. And that they also needed the names, address, work location, phone numbers for 7 people. The were not informed this over the phone. When I arrived back Saturday it was already raining. I was told he would be out in 4hrs-8hrs. I paid the $800. To get a call later saying I could get $250 back cause y'all could not find an attorney to drive in the rain for the Dallas Bail. I asked for them not to do anything give all the money back I would find a company that would do what they promised- and post both bails. They lied and said it had been posted for Tarrany county. We could not get a refund. We get a call from the jail telling us that no one had come to get my som signature. So the manager at Cowboys bail bond had lied to us yet again.. I'm glad he was released. But I just wish they wouldn't have lied then, and to lie again with this response. None of that happened Friday. STOP IT! Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/12/13) */ Cowboy has contacted the dad by phone, who is our co-signer, after the original complaint and again after they were not satisfied with our response. Cowboy has apologized for any misunderstandings during this complicated process that involved multiple agencies, cities, counties and agents. The dad states he left on Friday night because he was not informed he needed references on his application with our office and we have apologized. Mr. ***** has stated to Cowboy that he wants to continue the bonds of his son and we have committed to assist this family with the judicial process. Cowboy strives to be the problem-solving solution in these times of need. We have taken this complaint serious and interviewed staff, looked at training opportunities and we appreciate the customer input.
