I started ****** school last year at ******************* and Ink Academy who recently changed the business name to Oz ****** and piercing academy *************************************************************, ************** or **************. I payed a total of $2,125 for the course online. I finished and turned in a total of ***** hours in February 2023. I had trouble communicating with ***************** in the past and struggled with her to send my hours to TDLR. She always had a different excuse to not answer the phone and she would say the school was closed for different reasons. I filed a complaint and she finally started submitting my hours to TDLR in March. She said she would submit all of them by the end of March 2023. Therefore, I assumed she would and scheduled my written board exam (and passed). The next step is to schedule the practical board exam, but TDLR does not let me because ***************** only submitted 951 hrs up to May 2023. I keep texting her and calling, she finally said she lost my time sheet and needs it to submit the hours. I talked to TDLR and they said they do not require proof of the hours because the school is accredited to report the hours (I still took a picture before *** kicked me out of the course, but she says thats not enough proof). She is now making it sound like I as a student was responsible to keep the sheet of hours and that she will not submit them unless she has the sheet. She said she had to transfer me from license 326 to 386 (the new one is under ******************************* the owner of the school) and says he will not submit them unless he has proof because i was not his direct student. I was never told I was responsible to keep the sheet, but I turned them in to ***************** who then closed the course and I do not have access to it anymore. All I want is for her to submit my hours to TDLR in order for me to take my practical exam and graduate. Please help me! This has been going on for a while now and is putting a hold on my career.Initial Complaint

I enrolled for Esthetician Course to Start on Oct. 4, 2021. I paid a deposit of $500 and made payments of $400 on the 3rd of November and 3rd of December. however, there was a delay and I was advised to start online classes(11/18/2021) instead and paid 292.22 for online access. I was told that due to maintenance issues face to face classes would start on Jan. 3rd, 2022. When this day arrived, I text the director of the school to confirm the time and she advise me that the class was canceled and called me to tell me that due to Maintenance issues the Esthetician course for that location was canceled. She gave me the option to attend another location that was further from me or she could refund my money after 30 days. I choose to get the refund due to all the issues since the original start date. it has been more than 30 days and I have not received a refund. the director said I could pick up a check at the school but when I arrived the person in charge didn't know anything about it and I didn't receive anything. on Feb 17th the director texted me to tell me that a check was mailed to my home address, it has been more than 10 days and I have not received anything. I have called numerous times without success and no one has returned my calls or texts. I want a resolution to a refund of $1300 plus the 292.22 for the online access fee.
