July 15, 2022, purchased 6 laser hair removal sessions for $65 on Groupon. Went in for what I thought was an initial consultation to see if I was a candidate. Lady didn't even review my paperwork or ask any questions. She went ahead and did first treatment even though I told her I had recently plucked/shaved. It took less than a minute for her to run machine over my chin area and it didn't appear that she even sanitized it. I asked what the wattage was because I didn't feel a thing and I've had treatment at another place before. This was definitely a different experience. I emailed the "owner" after to explain the situation and asked why I was scheduled for 2nd visit in 2 weeks versus 6-8 to allow new hair to grow. She said these are newer machines and gave me all types of excuses. I asked for my money back a few days later. She became confrontational and said that they've been in business 9 years and that maybe I don't know what I am talking about when I told her about my past experience. She does this to anyone who speaks out, see it on Groupon. This made me wonder if they are licensed or properly trained to be in business.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/01) */ We are a TEXAS LICENSED LASER HAIR REMOVAL facility and have been for 9 years. We have 7 locations in the DFW area. Our lasers are licensed with the state of Texas and are serviced properly as required. We are inspected yearly by the state as required. We have the lady a free consultation, as we do with everyone before the treatment. We have newer state of the art laser machines, therefore, the treatment is faster and not as painful and the older lasers that these bigger med spas use. We explained all of this to the lady, but for some strange reason, she wants to leave bad reviews and report this nonsense because we did not refund her money. We will absolutely NOT refund her money. Our corporate policy is "NO REFUNDS". That's is stated in every room at each location, it is also stated on the paperwork she agreed to and signed. We have been in business for 9 years, with 7 locations, and have never been reported to the BBB. This lady could have continued her treatments, like everyone else does, and been very pleased with her results, like everyone else is. Why use CAVI WIPES to clean the handpiece after each patient. They are sitting next to the machine. This is nonsense. But unfortunately, this is how the younger generation responds when they don't get their way. Thank you. The "consultation" I was given was my first treatment and the owner only offered an additional treatment when I brought it to her attention. Her response to any negative comments are always the same copy and paste about how many years they've been in business, but never properly addresses the issue at hand. She always then attacks customers about their age/generation gap and is very condescending. I have never had a bad experience such as the one I had with DFW Laser Aesthetics. They are unorganized from the moment you try to schedule an appointment, it goes to someone's personal cell and she is very brief and sends responses as texts. Same as when you go to appointment, the lady seems like she hates her job and doesn't even bother looking at paperwork or even wants to answer any questions. I would have never asked for my money back if they had actually followed protocol for this type of treatment, instead of telling me that it didn't matter if I had just plucked during first laser hair removal treatment. This had me doubt their business ethics since I later read reviews where patrons' treatments were unsuccessful. Then the owner responded with excuses as to why treatment didn't work. I wanted to avoid wasting my time like others and decided to ask for my money back since I didn't even have a legitimate treatment and would give me the opportunity to try someone else. But instead the owner got ugly with me via email. Very rude and condescending. With the way she conducts business, I am surprised at her claims to be in business for 9 years as I have never heard of them before my purchase on Groupon. The location I visited is in a shared space with an insurance company, which was odd. We absolutely love our business. The Medical Aestheticinan that worked on you has worked for our company at for 9 years. She has 1000's of POSITIVE reviews posted all over the web proving this. We have a couple of negative reviews, unfortunately you can't make everyone happy but we give it our best. We made your initial appointment on the telephone with the receptionist and she answered all the questions you had. We send confirmation texts through the cell phone just like other businesses do, that's very common in this day and time.. I also have other businesses that I own and have been in business for 27 years. The reason I point to your age group is because I am seeing and hearing things in this past THREE years that I cannot believe. From my experience, most people are very kind, gentle, caring human beings. But your age group is a different kind. When you don't get your way, you post terrible falsities to ruin someone's career, life and character. That is not NORMAL. You all think you know everything and how a business is supposed to be run, when CLEARLY you have NO IDEA what your talking about. I am not going to hide behind and coward down to you all while you sit behind a computer a try to destroy small businesses. I am a child of GOD and I wiill fight my way through this. In this being said, I will be filing a civil suit for defamation and slander against you. I will also be filing stalking and harassment charges against you. This happened months ago, you keep posting everywhere on the web now the BBB? This calls for IMMEDIATE action. This will teach you about the REAL world and the law when it comes to business and that you cannot make up falsities for your pleasure. There are repercussions in life. Now if you will excuse me, I have a lot of work to do. I will not respond to anything else you post on the web. I will respond to you in court. Thank you. I am done with this lady and business, she only repeats the same sound bites about my age group and how many years they have been in business. Then she threatens when people post honest reviews about how they conduct business. No resolution provided, all I asked for was my money back as I did not even get a real first treatment and after talking to a friend who recently had laser hair removal at a very reputable business, even she told me her results were noticeable after the first visit. Mine was a waste of time, which is why I kindly asked for a refund on my Groupon so I could use it elsewhere instead. I got a rude and condescending response instead.
