Was a customer for 20 years. Needed camera replaced called June 13 was told ********** would contact me in ***** hours. Did chat on 6/18 told scheduling would contact me in 24/48 hours, on 6/24 called again was told someone would contact the next morning. No one has contacted me 7/15. Called ti cancel service said I cant get out of contract until April or have to pay off contract. I will be FORCED to pay off. Poor customer serviceReview from Mei L

We had issues on the gadgets they installed and we complained about them but they did not do anything to help us. When we discontinued our service at the date our contract ended they continued to charge us even if we had disconnected their service from the internet. We paid the amount they asked for because they said it takes one month before our discontinuance if subscription will take effect. After we paid for it, there is a other charge that came to us. It's been 2 months (May to July) since we discontinued their services.Review from Barbara M

First of all, I signed a contract where I was informed that there wouldn't be any contingencies. When I called to cancel the service after almost two years because I sold my home, BRINKS informed me that there is a 5-year contract! I asked them to send me the contract, and it has been several weeks with no response. I thought ADT was bad, but Brinks is worse.So my options are to pay off the full amount plus equipment (HELLO? Where does it say that in the nonexistent contract?) or transfer the ownership of the contract to the new owners, which I did. BUT BRINKS DIDN'T ACCEPT THE NEW OWNER'S SIGNATURE. The owners signed the contract multiple times with their signature as shown on their ID, and ********************** didn't accept it.Now, the equipment is with the new owners, I am not allowed to go back to their home to get it, the contract is still in my name, and I don't need the service anymore. Also, I was instructed by BRINKS customer service not to remove the iPad from the wall because it could damage the wall and nullify the warranty if it causes any damage to the iPad.So I have to pay for equipment I can't use, and the new owners won't use? I also can't go to their home now because I live far away. THEY SIGNED THE CONTRACT! What am I going to do now? STAY AWAY FROM BRINKS!Review from Marie V

Brinks Home is the world worst company. I had a 48 months contract with them starting from October 2019-October 2023, l called to end the contract, they said my contract will be terminated in October 2024, l called on July 3rd 2024 to pay all the remaining months (from July to October) just to end my contract with them, they accepted the money and transferred me to loyalty customer to have my closing contract paperwork and ******, a brinks manager told me that my contract will be ended on October 2025. Brinks have a bunch of liars agents, they said l renewed my contract with them, I have never signed any contracts with them, please help me, Brinks messed up my credit. I would like to advise everyone to stay away from Brinks. It is a terrible, horrible company.Review from anne f

I signed a 3 year contract and paid $189.85 for installation. I also have been paying $5.99 a month for the system warranty. FOR 2 YEARS THE SYSTEM HAS NOT WORKED. I called several times telling them the guy that installed it refused to hook up one of the sensors. He told me to override that door and put a security bar up against the door which is bad for my floor and my door. Plus having to lean it somewhere. Then, 2 doors stopped working. I called and called and gave up for a while. Now I am trying to get the system fixed because I can't use it. He tells me I have to pay $300. I asked what the $5.99 a month was for. He said okay, but I will have to do phone support first. I have paid over $1,200 so far for nothing. If I didn't care about my credit score I would stop the payments but am stuck because I don't want my credit to get messed up. They say they understand my frustration but what do I want. A REFUND. They laugh out loud. No refund. No records of all the calls I made. I asked the latest customer support member if he was making a car payment for 2 years and they never gave him the car, what would he want? He laughed. Now they are saying I have to pay a technician to come out because they are not even reading my system. I have to pay for that.Review from Kibang L

Not a customer and never wanting to be. They need to train their sales person better and doing a sales in better way. They makes me feel so uncomfortable and makes me worry about my home security by them.Review from Jean F

This company is horrible. They WILL NOT FIX any problem you have. You call them to come out, never show up. I cancelled this contract and paid it off through the end of the contract, 9/29/2021 and they continued sending me bills begging me to reconsider and I told them H*** NO. They have put bad scores on my credit report lowering it by 99 points. My credit score was 848. I always pay my bills on time. I need this corrected ASAP. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THIS. This report should be less than one and they should be sued by the BBB and never have the opportunity to ruin someone else. I never signed up for this company. Ever since I have had Brinks monitoring my property, that service is good, but I can never log into my account on the page that they provide - called a Portal. If I use a password one month, the next time I attempt to log in, I am unable to. It has been months of pure frustration. So I figure if they want my money they will call me because if I call them, it is hours of wait - wasting my time for the day. I wish I never heard of Brinks!Review from Erin W

I dont know how they did it, but Brinks got us roped into a FIVE-year contract a couple years ago, which was news to us when we called to cancel last week. I have the documents from when they came to the door to switch out our service from ADT. There is NO contract. They emailed it to us the other day (because I didnt have it) and it was the first time Id seen it. Sure enough, says we signed off on a five-year contract, which I would never do for any service. To get out of it we just had to cough up $1,400. Please pass this on! If you look up Brinks online you will see pages and pages of lawsuits, personal and class-action, as well as thousands upon thousands of complaints about contracts people didnt know about. I dont understand how or why they are able to continue to do business when they are defrauding people as a business model.I usually do my due diligence for everything. This was a hard ******* I f*cked up but Ill never do that again!
