I made a reservation with this company through the **** platform on August 1, 2023 booking the nights of April 7th and 8th, 2024. As many in the nation know, the region where this cabin is located will be in the zone of totality for a solar eclipse. I have two young boys that were very much looking forward to this trip. Flash forward seven months to March 6th,2024 (one month before the eclipse) and I get a notification in my e-mail from **** that the host had canceled my booking and would be sending me a refund. I did not see this email until 10 days after the cancelation, yet I had no refund. I called the number on the confirmation email from August and there was no answer. I left quite an emotional message, stating this was an important trip and asking was there any way I could get the cabin. I also stated that if there wasn't, please contact be about my refund. Over the course of several days, I called, e-mailed, and worked with **** customer support, but neither I nor **** could not get in contact with the host. Although it is advertised on the website that customer service line is available 24/7, communication is nearly impossible. My husband finally got through after several text messages and we were refunded the money. The manager said "Let me check" when it was addressed that I had called and emailed. No explanation was given for the cancelation. No response to my call or email ever came. The part that upsets me the most is that the cabin was RELISTED on **** for the same dates with the price more than doubled. I was canceled so he could relist it for a bigger profit! I am left to believe that this company is run by a manager motived simply by greed for money without the compassion or the will to help his customers or even simply answer their communications. It should not take 13 days to receive a refund when the company made the cancelation and the posted hours are not being taken seriously.Customer response
