Dent Mavericks returned my vehicle with a defect on the dashboard. They claim they didn't do any work to the dashboard, which they didn't, however, it seems most likely that during detailing this defect was caused. The leather has been separated from the dashboard in the piece covering the gauges. A check-in video provided by Dent Mavericks clearly shows the defect was not there when the truck was checked in. They are not assuming responsibility for this defect.Initial Complaint

My vehicle received hail damage in March of 2023. I filed an insurance claim and my truck was at Dent Mavericks from April 18, 2023 to June 19, 2023. My insurance paid this company to replace the passenger side doors, fenders, hood and rear fender. When I received my truck back the outside appeared fine. After investigating, we found that the panels were not replaced. They were drilled into and repaired that way. Also, there is damage to under my hood from them cutting the metal to be able to drill to repair dents. I reached out to Dent Mavericks and spoke to *****************, manager, who claims this is an appropriate and cheaper method of repair despite the fact that this is not what my insurance was invoiced and billed for. This seems like insurance fraud. *** then hung up on me. I emailed the owner at the email address provided by *** and have not received a response. I want my truck fixed correctly but i am NOT willing to take my truck back to a shop that is so dishonest. The approx $9400 listed below was paid by insurance.Business response

Hey *****************,
This happens quite often. In our contract it states that if a dent is not reachable that holes will be drilled to gain access. ***************** signed the contract that states the aforementioned verbiage. We dont cut off parts of the vehicle as it damages the integrity of the metal, (look up ******************* ***** bad hail repair on the internet). It is better for the vehicle and more costly to repair with the process we use. The reason insurance companies put replace is because it is cheaper for them to do it that way, however, not better for the vehicle. The insurance also ONLY pays for after market parts. Therefore, we dont replace panels. The issue ***************** has is because holes were drilled and plugged. The holes are plugged and do nothing to the integrity of the metal and the ORIGNAL parts are still on the vehicle. ***************** stated the car looked great, the dents were gone however there were holes drilled to access panels which was in the contract she signed when we took her vehicle in. We waived her deductible, she received a free premium rental throughout the duration of her repairs and paid nothing out of pocket. I have sent ***************** comments to our legal department and our legal department does not see any wrongdoing from Dent Mavericks. That damage to ***************** car was severe and we were paid less than we should have to do the repair properly but we performed the repair properly regardless of the amount ***************** insurance paid us. We fulfilled our end the contract ***************** signed and unfortunately there is nothing we can do to make ***************** satisfied. If BBB wants to honor this complaint thats up to them, however, there is no merit for this complaint.

I am rejecting this response because:
Thank you for your response however, I disagree with the majority of your response as it is not true or accurate. You can see the attached pictures for proof. Whoever wrote this response did not do any investigating into my vehicle or my experience with your company
1) ***************** did not sign any contracts.
2) The drill holes were not plugged. See the pictures.
3) Yes, you are correct when you say that I did not pay anything out of pocket. Dent Mavericks covered my deductible on their own. No one asked them to. It was part of the sales pitch.
4) I stated the vehicle looked good on the exterior. The work completed that is hidden is atrocious.
There are too many holes to take picture of and BBB only allows me to submit 5 photos on here.
I look forward to the next attempt at a response.

My legal team is prepared for the case in the event this becomes a civil matter and we are willing and ready to fight it with hard evidence that ***************** is in the wrong. At this point any and all communication needs to be directed to our legal team. Thanks.Customer response

On March 16, 2023 we were hit with a major hail storm at our residence. We had 2 vehicles damaged and the roof on our house. We were bombarded with salesmen for weeks following. We were contacted by ***** ******* with Dent Mavericks. He promised that both vehicles would be fixed and completed within a couple weeks. ******* did not tell us that they would be driving our vehicles the 91 miles through ****** traffic to their facility. First red flag. Dent Mavericks would not contact us about an update on the progress. Weeks went by and we finally received our Cadillac, still with damages and new damages that occurred in their care. When contacted *** ***** assured me that they would take care of the damages. We finally received our Wagoneer 8 weeks after they said it would be returned. They took the Cadillac back to fix the additional damages as promised and returned it not repaired as promised. They were paid $6723.94 for the Wagoneer and $8570.51 for the Cadillac. All they did was pop out a few dents. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with this company. My husband is going through chemo and radiation right now, they knew this, knew we needed our vehicles. They just do not care about their customers.Business response

Good Morning, I do understand your frustrations, however these were circumstances that were beyond our control. We do offer a valet service for our customers, to drop off a rental and pick up their vehicle, and same situation once their vehicle is complete. The client was located in ****************** which is about 90 miles away, our address which is located on our repair agreement which was signed, clearly states that we are located off ***************. in ******, **.. Our standard repair time is between two to three weeks. Unfortunately, on the Jeep Wagoneer there was paint time needed in order to repair the roof which took a bit longer to complete. We are a PDR (paintless dent repair) facility and our goal is to repair the vehicle to pre-storm condition which we achieved. As your husband was undergoing chemo, we did provide a 3rd row large SUV rental. I have attached the contract that states our address and gives ** authority to repair any parts that can be repaired with PDR.Initial Complaint

To who it may concern, I'm reporting this body shop called Dent Maverick they worked on my truck fixing some hail damage done to the roof and hood of my truck, during working on the roof they BROKE the inside headliner in four different places and also stained it with hand marks. I Spoke to the manager Joshua and he is REFUSING to fix what was broken whenever the car was being fixed by them. He was super rude and told me that he was not fixing it and pretty much SCREWED YOU. This is not acceptable and not ethical to treat customers this way whenever I gave them my truck with a headliner that was in perfect condition and not even one stain on it. This is the main issue but they have tried to deliver my truck to me four times and every time there is something broken damaged or not replaced. I am beyond frustrated and only asking for them to FIX the damages they did to my car. One of their employees Oscar Blanquin came knocking on my door offering their services and talking very hight about the quality of their work that was the reason that I decided to work with them, Now in return I get a manager treating me rude and unwilling to finish the job in a professional manner. One of the main reasons that I decided to work with Dent Maverick it's because I saw that they were certified by the y'all organization.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/31) */ To whom it may concern with ****** ******** We have tried to return this customer's vehicle several times and every time he has found another reason why not to take it. His vehicle is a 2014 Toyota Tundra. This vehicle is 8 years plus old. It is not perfect it has normal wear and tear for a vehicle this old. The first time he sent it back because the windshield was replaced with an a/m windshield. This is what the insurance paid for. They did not pay for oem. We told him we would be happy to do it if he got his insurance to pay. The second time it was brought back was for some dirty marks on the headliner. We did take care of it even though we have a video where it came in with marks on the headliner. We cleaned it up and sent a video to him before it went home with it cleaned to make sure it was going to be accepted. He said it was fine so we sent it home. When it got back to the customer he accepted it but then called our driver back because there was another issue with the headliner. He then sent videos where he was bending the edges of the headliner up then claims that headliner was damaged. We then sent him a video of the same exact vehicle in our shop that we have not even started repairs on, a 2021 Toyota Tundra that does the exact same thing around the edges. Headliners on Toyotas are notoriously flimsy and will bend if you push on them. He then asked us to replace his headliner which is usually over $1000. We unfortunately cannot do that so he told us he would be reporting us. This customer is just simply asking us to make his vehicle better than a brand new toyota which is simply not possible even if we replace his headliner. We believe this customer will never be satisfied based on the fact that he sent his vehicle back several times and he has not accepted it.There was a small issue with sunroof not working properly however we did fix it in a timely manner and got it back to him. We want to make sure this customer is satisfied but he basically wants his 2014 to be better than a new car. Please advise... Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/04/20) */ Fist of all what he is saying is all lie firs time I got my truck back they don't replace the wind shield that insurance paid for insurance also paid for some parts and they don't event change the parts and they offer me the money for it but that was the 3rd time that I send it so they where scamming me so I also ask for a receipt they never wanted to give me one
