I traveled out-of-state recently for a business conference, and because I appreciate eating healthy for my overall health, as well as for the fact that I have digestion issues (IBS), I wanted to buy healthy and clean meal-prepped food. I researched a couple of meal prepping companies and decided to go with Icon Meals because their website listed only clean ingredients for their foods, or so I was led to believe from their website. I spent over $70.
When I reached my destination and got my food delivered to me from Icon Meals, the ingredients listed on the food labels were ENTIRELY different than what they list on their website. Icon Meals has a clear misrepresentation of their foods' ingredients on their website, which should and may even be illegal because a person should know what is in the food they are buying BEFORE they buy it, and then at the very least, should get a full refund for such discrepancy. I attempted to contact them for a refund of my money because I couldn't eat their food without severe digestion responses. But when they replied, they lacked all empathy and denied giving me a refund, despite their misleading nutrition info, despite causing distress to my IBS, despite causing me to waste money on their foods (over $70) and then have to eat protein bars at the local convenience store for the remainder of my trip causing me to spend even more money I didn't budget for.
I even offered to provide scientific evidence that the ingredients that they use are shown to cause cancer, inflammation, and eat at the intestinal lining, not just in people who have digestion issues already, but also...
