I received a notice that I have a collection from ******* RESOURCE MANA on my credit report. It says it was opened on Aug 25, 2022 for 2,439 with account number starting in XXXXXXXXX that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the FCRA and FDCPA. I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.

The date of the correspondence uses Oct 28. 2021. I have spoken with Credence MULTIPLE times to advise them that I owe ATT NO MONEY AT ALL. I threatened to contact the BBB before and some manager got on the phone and asked me not to. He implied that could settle for a reduced amount. I would not because I owe them absolutely NOTHING. I really thought I had explained and that this would go away but obviously it has not and i was mislead. They call every number in our house. The phone was paid for and would not work unless you purchased minutes. We simply purchased no more minutes and got a new phone with a new carrier. There is no amount due - in fact, we left a balance of minutes on the card. IF you didnt buy minutes, you had no service. I have spoken with many people and this is my last resort. I pay my bills. I do NOT owe these people money and I can see from several reviews this appears to be how they operate.

I moved from my apartment April 2022 and AT&T requested that I return my router for my internet. It is (and was) in the breaker box of the apartment and an electrician had to put it in. I called AT&T several times spending several hours talking to them about the issue and they agreed on every phone call that they would waive the fee. Then a few months later they sent my bill to a debt collector, Credence, to collect money for the equipment and said I never returned it. Of course I didn't because it is in the breaker box. I called the debt collector and Credence October 5th to resolve the issue, and on the phone AT&T said it was a mistake and they would take care of it on a 3-way call (see email for more information). On November 8th I received an email from Credence saying my dispute was denied because AT&T said that the charges were valid. Less that 6 days later my credit score dropped by over 100 points. I called Credence November 14th to see what happened. They were not able to provide me any information except for what I already had, which was very frustrating because at this point it is a "he say she say" between AT&T and Credence. Today Nov. 18th I paid the debt collector $164.30 because I didn't want to wait several more days/ weeks to get the run around again. I am in the middle of moving again for work and I did not expect this at all. I will now be in the process of closing all current accounts with AT&T. I would like someone to contact me immediately and want detailed documentation about how they came to the conclusion to deny my dispute with the creditors and how it ever got this far to begin with. This is very upsetting. I have also requested the recordings of both calls with Credence where I had an AT&T representative on the phone saying that the issue would be resolved and I did not need to do anything further. I would also like detailed documentation about reporting this matter with the credit bureaus. Thank you, *******
