I paid $600 to BHG last month. When I went in this month, I wanted to pay another $600, but asked for an account balance. I was then informed that my balance was less than $200. This is impossible, since I had just paid $600 the week prior. I am requesting a refund. They cannot give an explanation as to why they stole my money from my account. I asked them to explain. It's been a week and still not response.Initial Complaint

I am a patient at behavior health group in mobile Alabama. They advertise counseling services and charge $16.00 a day for medication, and counseling two times a month for a minimum of 30 minutes per session. I have been a patient there since 2021, and have only received two counseling sessions. I have requested records of every counseling session I have had since my entry in the program in 2021. After requesting these records four times over a period of two months, and having to file a complaint with their ethics department, the director, Jamie M*******, finally met with me on 11-04-2022 informing me that she did not have to provide me with those records even with a court ordered subpoena She also informed me that anytime I make contact with my counselor, even if only for five minutes to get information, that constitutes a counseling session. Im not the only patient going through this, and an investigation is warranted. They have blown me off time and time again to avoid any accountability. There are many other problems with this corrupt organization that don't necessarily concerns the BBB including but, not limited to criminal fraud, and discrimination. It is a very serious situation that should be investigated. I've gone as far as emailing the CEO and corporate offices of BHG in Dallas, the call center, and ethics line without any response. This has gone too far, and I just don't know what else to do to get someone to even look into these allegations, and hold this organization accountable. Please helpBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/12/02) */ As a Behavioral Health Group treatment center accredited by the Joint Commission, we follow strict guidelines on delivering quality patient care. We are audited regularly by state and accrediting bodies and the Mobile, Alabama facility has never had action taken based on non-compliance. Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan (ITP) according to the goals established between the patient and the BHG provider that includes a customized counseling schedule. This ITP is modified over time based on the progression of the patient throughout their recovery. All BHG facilities post a Patient Bill of Rights, and all patients have access to the facility's program director and a confidential third-party Ethics Hotline.Initial Complaint

Behavioral Health Group is the parent company of the local clinic I have had weekly treatment at for several months (Center for Behavioral Health, in Boise, Idaho). I had to pay about $400 for my first visit with them, which was about 4 or 5 months ago, and then Idaho Medicaid paid them for that visit as well, and has been paying for my weekly visits ever since. So I have been trying to get reimbursed for the double-payment that they received for my first visit, and I feel like I have gotten nothing but the run-around from them, and no straight answers, and no reimbursement. A lady at the local, Boise office finally made (or at least SAID she made) a couple calls to the Texas headquarters, but it's been several weeks and I have heard nothing definitive about when or if reimbursement will come, and if not, why not. It is my understanding (recently learned) that the Center for Behavioral Health has switched parent companies within the last year or so, but that was before my first visit, I believe.
