Our house caught fire 4/11/19 and TST was on the scene immediately. They removed our belongings and gutted the downstairs right away, did a great job. We were told it would take 2 months to rebuild but it took 6 and we had to move back in before it was done because TST would not provide a schedule to the ins comp or file to get our rent covered when they knew it wouldn't be done on time. There were weeks without any work and the contractors complained about the PM not knowing how to do his job. When I would call to speak to someone at TST, only the PM would call me back. PM told me they couldn't find the same brick for our back wall so we chose stone and he told me we would have to pay thousands out of pocket for it. The insurance adjuster said this was incorrect. I advised the PM of this and he told me not to contact the insurance adjuster as he does not know what it takes to build a house. The contractors ended up stealing almost all of the leftover stone. The cabinets in the kitchen were replaced with plywood - the originals were beautiful solid wood and thick - and have cracks and many imperfections. The outlets in the living room do not cover the holes made for them. The crown molding is falling down on the wall that was rebuilt. The cabinets recently starting chipping badly so I contacted the company to see about their warranty; they stated it is three years. They sent someone out who told me that the cabinets we were given were not actual wood, we didn't get the same grade as the rest of the house as we should have and that there is only primer on the cabinets. He said the molding is falling because they didn't drill it into the studs. He felt terrible and stated the PM was fired for doing poor work that year. After he reported back to owner, owner advised me via email he will not fix the cabinets because it will take too long and put us out of the house. Via phone he stated he will not fix them because HIS are chipping. He is no longer responding to emails.
