Date of Transaction: Jun-26-2023 and Jul-08-2023 Amount of money paid: $2,724.50 Brake repair: Brake pads and rotor replacement Nature of Dispute:Went in for a regular oil change for my Maserati Levante($550). Was suggested a brake fluid flush for another $400. Did that. On the way out was told that Brake pads are at 3mm and would need replacement when the "check brake lights" come on. Coincidentally this happened the next day.Took the car back on Jul-6th. Was told that the brake pads are now at 2mm. Typically 1mm change in a week is not possible, but I was OK to proceed with the recommended Brake pads and rotor replacement.($1700). My car has total 22K miles on it. Here's where the problem starts....Right off the parking lot, vehicle started to make a horrible squealing noise every time I braked. Autoscope attributed this to "bedding" process and recommended that I give it a week to fix itself. Since then I went back several times over the next 2 months, and they couldn't fix the issue, ultimately claiming that this noise is typical of the high performance Brembo brakes used in Maserati; and ignoring the fact that it all started after a brake job. Seeing an impasse and no further cooperation from Autoscope mgmt. I spent $210 and took my car to the Maserati Dealership. They suspect a "contaminant" and recommend the brake assembly be taken apart and cleaned ($900).Autoscope has refused to take ownership of this issue or do anything further to resolve it.Here's something more I found during my investigations:1> Autoscope Invoices misrepresented labor and parts costs. They had a 60% markup on parts and upon askingf or explanation they accepted that they are putting high labor costs under parts. If I had known this earlier In would have taken it to dealership directly. Ironically they were only $100 costlier.2> Autoscope has also blocked -ve ****** reviews. Not sure how. They are curating reviews and duping citizens. The last -ve review was a year old

****************, I understand and empathize with your Maserati brake noise. As you know, Autoscope used all genuine, Maserati brake parts on your vehicle and serviced the brake components a second time for any workmanship or contamination issues in attempt to remedy the brake noise. We also contacted two Maserati dealerships in ************* for assistance to show our goodwill, and they replied that it is normal to have squeaking brakes on Maserati, and it's widely known. We further arranged a visit with Maserati for us to take your vehicle to their location for additional verification and assistance to remedy the issue of your squeaking brakes, but you refused our help. If it meant that they had to re-do the brake work with a particular brake clip added for this concern that we attempted to explain to you is not applicable for your exact VIN # but could help, as stated, we would have paid for that. I am sorry, but Autoscope has tried to make you happy and failed. Your ****** review is posted for all to see, we do not block reviews. However, we did report your additional review, under an alias, in attempt to bring our score down.

The vehicle was originally brought in on 7/26. It was brought back after the initial repairs were done for a DEF fluid issue on 8/6 after driving the car about 700 miles. After the second diagnostics Raffi informed me that there were no leaks or error codes on the car and that it was most likely an issue of the programming not sticking. Autoscope advised me to drive the vehicle more miles to see if the second reprogram would work which I did before the same error came up after just 242 miles. Now after the fourth time it was in their possession I was told that there were now error codes showing the DEF pump module (VW part number XXXXXXXXX) was bad and needed to be replaced. I picked the VW up and took it to Old Town Automotive in Carrollton to have the part replaced as I do not have a any trust their shop's work after all of this. The part was bad and replaced however the error code was still coming up due to the heater coils clip being broken and the hose not being connected to the DEF pump module. I was told the heater needs to be warrantied because the clips are part of the heater housing so the entire unit needs to be replaced and reinstalled. Between the fact that on 8/6 when there were no error codes and the most recent visit there is certainty that the DEF pump module burned out due to the fact that the fluid was not being pumped into it because the hose was not secured or connected and was driven excessive miles like this. Old Town Automotive did note and sent pictures, which I have forwarded, of the issue. They also noted that there was a small amount of DEF fluid on the top of the tank from splashing around but not enough to leak through to the bottom as it was not being pulled out of the tank. I brought it in 4 times the tank was never pulled to double check the work. I have now reach out in 2 emails on 10/26 and 10/31 with no response. I was told there was a 3 year 36k warranty on parts and labor that is not being honored.

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/11/17) */ Autoscope worked on *******'s VW vehicle each time he came into the shop. We replaced the DEF tank because all of the connectors were crystalized, and once those are formed, they wreak havoc on the electrical system of a car. We did not do anything else on *******'s car. The car; however, needed a new DEP pump module to work systematically with the replacement of the DEP tank. ******* wanted to buy the pump himself and have us put it on for him. However, company policy is that we do not install customer parts on a vehicle (liability concerns). We gave him the part number for the DEP pump module and he went to old town automotive to have it installed. There, old town automotive installed the part. Old town automotive sent us pictures of what they were doing. They sent pictures of damaged parts that were unrelated to the DEF tank. ******* then wanted the car towed back to us to have the DEF tank redone. on 11/17 we spoke with ******* on the phone and informed him that we would warranty the DEF tank and also give him a new hose to help him with his car (with no charge.) He will be picking up his car 11/23. Autoscope has every picture of every stage that we worked on the car. We did not break anything. We did not dishonest. We did nothing to lead ******* in an unfashioned way about his vehicle. Should more information be needed, I am happy to provide it.
