I contracted Cesar to redo our patio. From the beginning, there were issues with the concrete. There were areas where the concrete was chipping within the first few days of the installation. They came back and patched over with a different color of concrete. After that, they came back and patched it with hydraulic concrete all over to ensure the color of the patio was all the same. After a few days, the new hydraulic concrete began to chip. I reached out to Cesar he said he would fix it after the rainy season. I have tried to reach out to Cesar a few times, he claims the work he did was what I paid for. He is not responding to my calls anymore. Now we are having more issues as the patio is cracking already. The patio is not even a year old.Business response

First and foremost, I want to apologize for the late response on this complaint. I realize it is unprofessional of me.
Now on behalf of your complaint, my company did go out there way to ensure each new issue was taken care of every time you contacted us.
Cesar had a walked through of the job with you like we do with each and every client that we work with, and you were satisfied with the end results. Now I know concrete has the tendency to naturally crack and chip and with over 40+ concrete jobs we have completed, none of them but yours gave us issues.
Please understand that per contract we are only able to fix issues to a certain extent. The concrete issues you kept contacting us about after completing the job are natural occurrences that happen to concrete. Now again, each time we went back we made sure you were satisfied with the repair.
As well you threatened Cesar for us not going to fix the small inconveniences that were really not an issue at all. Cesar, company owner, will not communicate with you because of that matter.
In our 2+ years in business this is the first huge complaint we have, now we can come to an agreement so we won't have future problems.Business response

I have discussed your complaint with Cesar since he was the one who went out there to your property every time you contacted us. He indeed assured you were satisfied, now if you truly where not at what we did then you should have let us now from the start. Despite the issues that occurred with the concrete that we fixed at no charge.
I am sorry but we will not be going out to your property again. We went out our way and used our own time and money to fix every complaint that you gave us.

We do not think that chunks missing from the surface, two different colors of concrete being used, and then after repair the entire surface of the patio chipping off are small issues. When we were asked if we were happy with the results it was before the concrete had dried.
The first complaint was about chunks missing from the corners of the stairs and around the drainage grates. Cesar agreed that these needed to be corrected and sent someone to do this.We mentioned that the concrete used to patch the holes was a different color than the original concrete that was used and we were told that it needed to dry and would look uniform. We waited several days and the areas that were repaired were still darker than the rest of the patio.
Someone came and corrected this cosmetic issue, but just weeks later the entire surface started to peel. Cesar also said that he would come back and look at the patio after rainy season was completed. After we waited patiently for months and "rainy season" to be over, Cesar changed his story and told us that he could do no more repairs. Every week we have to sweep up chunks of concrete and dust that have come loose from the patio. I understand that concrete can crack, but this was not due to aging or ground shifting.
I do not know your name, manager of "Garcia's LLC", but you did not see the job and therefore cannot speak to the quality of it. If you would like to come review the patio yourself then we would be more than happy to have you over to see it and we can have a conversation then about whether you think that your company is in breach of contract for completing this job or not. With all due respect, all of the concrete in our neighborhood looks more professionally done than this and we are very disappointed with the outcome of the $7,000 spent. That's wonderful that you have never had any customer complaints! I believe ours can go away easily if you would agree to fix the surface issues. I implore you to consider this option, otherwise we will be taking this issue to small claims court to recoup some of our money. I am sorry if this sounds like a threat, but after being ignored for months I want to make sure that you understand we are taking this problem seriously.
