On 8/30/23 my husband paid for cremation services for his mother. He was told my **************** that he will be contacted once the ashes and death certificate were ready for pick up. It is now September 19th, and no one has called him to either pick up the ashes or the death certificate. We called her and she said she gave the ashes to a relative. Not sure why if we paid for the ashes, she was not instructed to give the ashes to anyone else.Customer response

Yes. The receipt shows my husband paying for the cremation services for his mother. However, we never received the death certificate nor the ashes. Once we submit payment, they called a family member who did not pay for it. Instead of giving my husband the contract since he was paying they gave the contract to someone else who did not make the payment.Initial Complaint

My name is ***************************** I am writing this letter due to me being taken advantage of by Evergreen funeral home. My wife of 54 years passed October 30th, 2022. Evergreen conducted her funeral. After making her arrangements I went ahead and paid for a double head stone for $3,700. I waited 6 months for the head stone to come and be placed on my wifes grave. I am 77 years old and losing someone whom I shared 54 years with left me in a dark place. As me and my son visit the grave, he notices that the funeral home had the wrong date of her expiration. She passed on 10/30 they put 10/20 on there. I informed them I looked at the stone to see if thats how I waited it. But not the information, thinking since her funeral was held by them, knowing I am grieving you would have checked to make sure the expiration date was right as a good business practice. Now they are telling me I have to spend another $520.00 dollars to correct the date plus whatever else it takes to pick up and put down. I buried a son, grand son and a wife not to mention. I had my other two son buy 5 ****** for the future to avoid these kind issues when of planning a funeral as you grieve. Lastly, I have spent well over ****** dollars doing business with evergreen and they would take advantage of an elderly man at a time like this. They complete the service and the programs, so they had all the information. Please help rectify this issue. I just what I paid for.
