My wife and I originally contracted with the business owner of KL Services on July 9th, 2021 to replace our HVAC system. We placed a $3,100 down payment via check. Due to several mitigating circumstances, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and supply-chain related issues, this was pushed back for months while he waited on a part to come in. Eventually, the part we had been waiting on came in and we were told by text we would be on the schedule for Friday, May 27th. On the 26th the business owner asked to push the install back a week to Friday, June 3rd as they were way behind on work due to the rain earlier in the week - he used the words "it will definitely be next Friday." Come the next week, however, and we get a similar request asking to push the install to Saturday, June 4th. With all the previous delays I was reluctant to agree, but eventually conceded. It is now Saturday evening and no techs showed up to install our new system. The business owner did not return multiple calls and texts asking for updates and has generally been uncommunicative from the get-go. Considering that I have been more than patient with the timeline, I am asking for the contract to be fulfilled, as agreed, or to have our down payment returned so we can consider other options.
