On July 27th, 2022, Fixed came to my home to replace the compressor for my AC unit and charged me $1897.50. The compressor broke 3 months later in November 2022 and Fixed came out 11/15/22 to check the unit. The technician said this was a common issue and explained that a faulty shipment was sent to them and telling me stories about shipments being dragged on the ground and that was caused of the bad compressors and that's why the compressors are now faulty. He said he will put in an order to get it replaced and because it's still under warranty and free of charge. The technician said that I will receive a phone call from them to schedule a time to replace the compressors. I was waiting for a call, but nothing happened, so I decided to call them to check on my status. The person on the other end told me that because I refused the workorder they canceled the repairs. Well... that's a lie! I emailed Fixed and got it touch with ****** ****** Her response was: " I apologize for the confusion. While some of the information provided to you was correct, the compressor is under manufacturer warranty and will incur no charge to you for the part. However, you will be responsible for the labor to install it, and the freon that is needed to complete the replacement. That total is $1897.50. Please let us know if you would like to move forward with this repair. Again, I do apologize that you were given incorrect information regarding what the compressor manufacturer warranty covers. We look forward to your response on moving forward with the repair. " So now they want ANOTHER $1897.50 for a compressor that worked only for 3 months!!!! I just paid them $1897.50 in July. What kind of scam are they running!!!! What did I pay for in July when I received a new compressor, now it's broken, and they want to charge me the same amount they did 3 months ago. SCAMMERS!!!Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/12/27) */ Hello *********, We are very sorry to hear that the compressor that was replaced in July has failed once more. It appears that there is potentially a manufacturer defect. When the compressor was installed by Fixd in July the work provided came with a 30 day workmanship guarantee which has since expired. You were responsible for the freon and labor only as the compressor itself was provided free of charge by the manufacturer. You would have been advised of the 30 day workmanship guarantee at the time of service. This means that if the failure should occur again within those 30 days, Fixd would complete the repair once more free of charge. At the time of the 2nd failure you were 3 months beyond the expiration of the workmanship guarantee. While the compressor itself would be free of charge from the manufacturer, the freon needed for the repair and the labor would not be covered by the manufacturer. This is just as it was for the original compressor replacement. Again we are very sorry to hear that the compressor has failed again. Ultimately, this repair falls outside the 30 day workmanship gaurantee and therefore the cost of the labor and materials will be the responsibility of the home owner. Our recommendation is to have the entire system replaced in order to avoid this issue happening again. A Manager with Fixd has reached out to you to explain the workmanship guarantee and the reason why you would be responsible for the freon and labor. Please follow up with them with any questions you may have. Thank you Fixd RepairInitial Complaint

On 8/2, we paid $159 to have a coil on our HVAC replaced under our home warranty through Fixd Repair, after a service call on 7/25 to inspect issues of the outside drain leaking continuously. On 8/4 the fails safe switch in the drip pan under where the coil was replaced did not work to shut off the unit when water filled the pan. In return, water leaked out of the pan and spread to our ceiling in the kitchen causing water damage to the ceiling and paneling. Fixd was notified and in their words, a more experienced senior technician was sent out and they would address the ceiling repairs after the remaining service required was completed. That technician determined that the main drain line and the second drain line needed to be unclogged and replaced with PVC piping initially and was most likely the issue from the start. That would be an additional $350 for the second line and $400 for the first line. Now that we have completed all repairs, Fixd does not want to own responsibility for the ceiling repair.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/10/04) */ Hello *******, We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our decision to negate ourselves as responsible for the drain line issues and later damages to your home due to those issues. Fixd was dispatched to your home by your home warranty company to address an issue of "No Cool" HVAC. Our techs were successful in identifying the cause of the no cool which was a leaking evaporator coil. Fixd also identified that your drain lines were improperly installed and had been before Fixd ever entered your home. Due to the improper installation the drain lines they did end up clogging up and flooding your home. This was not Fixd's fault as we did not install your drain lines and your warranty company provided permission to address only the "No Cool" issue. You were made aware of the issues with the drain lines once they presented as an issue. Your home warranty denied to cover the repair to correct the issue and we quoted you at retail cost to make the repairs. You accepted the quote and the repairs to the drain line were completed. After the repairs were completed you opted to accuse Fixd of being responsible for the drain line issues you experienced. We were in fact not responsible for these issues as we were not the installer of said drain lines and were not dispatched by Cinch to address those drain lines. A manager has instructed you of all the information above. If you have any further questions, we ask that you reach out to that point of contact directly. Thank you Fixd Repair Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2022/10/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Fixd Repair had to be called out multiple times for the same issue. On the second repair visit, the technician noted that the piping was improperly installed on the HVAC system and recommended repair as well for the leaking found as well as the condenser coil which was also found to have leaking. The company chose to only replace the condenser coil without offering repair of the piping until after the damage from the leaking was done. A supervisor was to be dispatched to the home to inspect the condenser coil replacement since the leaking occurred directly after install and directly under the part installed and spread throughout the ceiling. No supervisor ever showed up and Fixd had to be called out twice more. It wasn't until a more experienced tech was sent out, that the company offered to replace the piping. The home warranty did not deny the replacement because it was not covered under the warranty to begin with and Fixd was aware of that. They failed to suggest the correct repairs needed and damage occurred after the fact. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/10/17) */ Hello *******, You have indicated yourself in the response provided that the drain lines were improperly installed. This installation was not done by Fixd or Cinch and is therefore not our responsibility. Fixd was dispatched to your home initially to address a "NO COOL" situation which was caused by the leaking evaporator coil. This was the only item to be addressed, per your home warranty company request. Furthermore, your home warranty company (who dispatched us to address the no cool issue, not a leak issue) would not approve of the drain line repairs due to the obvious improper installation. You were advised of this and quoted for the repairs. You then paid Fixd out of pocket to repair the improperly installed drain lines. Ultimately the cause of the leak was due to the improperly installed drain lines. Fixd was not the company who installed these drain lines, thus you are pursuing the wrong company for damages you incurred. Again we are sympathetic to your frustration but are not responsible for the improperly installed drain lines that ultimately leaked and caused damages. We encourage you to pursue the company responsible for the installation of said faulty drain lines. Thank you Fixd Repair Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2022/10/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The company is still trying to dismiss the fact that they did NOT provide the information that the repair for the pipes was denied by the home warranty and Fixd decided to only replace the condenser coil and did not offer or quote a repair price for the pipes until AFTER the damage was done to the ceiling and it was reported to them. Only after the damage was done and they had to send 2 more technicians out, did Fixd offer to repair the pipes and give the quote. That is why Fixd is responsible. The timeline which the repair service for the pipes was offered was well after the water damage to the ceiling was reported. The company had documented the pipes needed repair before they replaced the coil and before the damage was done, but did not provide the proper repair resolution for the issue and damage occurred as a result.Initial Complaint

I purchased two complete Goodman AC units from FixD Repair because of their 10 yr parts and labor warranty. Les than a year later the downstairs unit capacitor went out and I called them for someone to come out and replace it. I called and a lady located in Colombia answer the phone (i guess that is where their service center is) After many calls, never got the service from them. I had to hire someone to fix it. The same thing happened recently and when i called, this time a gentleman from Colombia answer the phone and got the same. Been calling and requesting service via phone and online through their website and up to date have not received anything. I, again, had to hire someone to come out and fix it. Both times i had to spend $250 each for someone to come out and fix my AC. I get no responses or call backs from FixD repair. When i call the Dallas number, i get no one. Another issue i had was the main box in the attic for the downstairs AC is falling apart since it was made out of insulation material and not metal. I reported that right after they installed the AC and that hasn't been fixed either. These people are not serious at all.Business Response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/20) */ Hello ******, We apologize for the confusion and frustration. We do see that you have two recent requests for the HVAC to be addressed and both were dispatched to Service Providers. You would have been contacted by those service providers by email to schedule your service. As both of the claims are in an open status it does not appear that you contacted the providers to schedule your service. This would have been your responsibility in order to actually have the service scheduled. Unfortunately, since you did not contact the provider the service was never scheduled. I have attached photos from our system that show the repair requests were dispatched and that you were contacted to schedule the service. If you are still needing service please reach out to us and we will get another provider assigned. We can be reached at (855)600-3493. You can reach a manager by dialing extension 45531. Thank you
