************* We tried many times to reach out regarding this, and have the issues resolved. At the end Megatel associates not only did not help but also literally backed out from the very deal they made! They had promised a closing cost rebate of $4000.00 for breaking the lease! On their word and trust we broke the lease, did not realize Megatel will back out from the written deal and agreement! That's not respecting the deal and actually stealing! That did hurt us! As we had just moved from ******* and already had a lot of expenses! Very very disappointing and pathetic experience from a BUILDER!! I am not even sure looking at the customer service from ******************** if I should pursue this further as this is just more frustrating! Cracks cracks cracks. Brand new home purchased 6 months ago and everyday I find something wrong. The *************** stop answering my calls. Beware do not purchase these homes. DO not I should have known when I see them building a whole block in a month. I wish they had lemon laws for homes.Megatel Homes

I signed a contract with Megatel homes back in feb 2022 a lagoon community bellagio located at ****** **, During initial conversations they mentioned the house construction would be completed by May 2023, later they changed that to sep 2023. Now it's sep 2023 the worst thing is not even the roads have been laid all I see is dirt laying behind the privacy walls. Now they are saying they expect them to be completed by end of summer ****. They are not even actively providing any updates or giving a date when the homes would be constructed. This is such a frustrating experience for first time home buyer. My recommendation is never buy from these guys. I understand delays happen but delays more than an year that's just unacceptable. Buyers must be compensated.Megatel Homes

Do not buy a house from Megatel. We signed an agreement to buy a townhouse in *******************, ****** in January 2023. The Townhouse was close to completion and they assured us the house would be done by end of February. The closing got delayed month after another resulting us including rate lock fee. Finally, it was supposed to close end of June. Three days before the close, the sales rep sent an email that they are increasing the price by $30k or they will give our deposit back. I emailed and called everyone at Megatel but no one answered or returned my emails or calls. I would never ever buy a house from Megatel. Buyer be aware.Megatel Homes

I signed a contract in July '21 & as of July '23 the townhome is still not built. This experience has been a constant source of anxiety and frustration from the beginning. They have been through 3 builders, 3 sales people, 2 of which lied the entire time, the 3rd was brutally honest with a barrage of disappointing news. 2 YEARS and these townhomes are still not finished when I got a call that they had raised the price on the house by $55K. They had my deposit money making interest for them for 2 years while I could have put the money to work elsewhere. Not to mention that the interest rates went from **** when I started to ***** raising my payment by over $800.00 - $900.00. I originally was going to pay 404K and they wanted 459K if I wanted to close. Incidentally, 2 homes in the complex had just sold for 469K and they knew that they could get more money on the townhomes so they raised the prices. I know that this company is run by two brothers who through this experience, (and reading the various other complaints) semmingly have absolutely no integrity. They should be ashamed in how they treat the people that go to them in good faith to build a home for them. There is no excuse for what they have done to us. Please beware when shopping for a homebuilder that Megatel seems to make this a routine practice of taking deposit money, holding it for years, then close to closing raise the price of the home to where it is not afforadable. Even thought their homes might look intriguing it's not worth what they do to their so called clients who have spents years waiting on their dream homes to be built. Although I terminated the contract and got the deposit back, they should pay all of us for the interest money that was lost to us while they held our money on lies and deceit.Megatel Homes

I signed the contract back in Jan 2021 for a single family home by Megatel which was already overpriced at the time I signed the contract. After more than two years of wait time and seeing the house getting built from foundation to having the blinds installed, and just 1 week before closing my sales person informed me that they are increasing the price by 170K and gave me an option to accept the new price or take the refund back for the initial deposit. This is absolutely unethical and an organized crime being carried out by this builder. During this wait for 2+ years, after repeatedly reaching out to the sales person, I never got answers on the status of my closing and when I finally did they gave me this bad news. Its clear what they are doing , as they don't take ******* money from customers rather they take a heft amount in the name of initial deposit and then wait for a long time to break this bad news to the customers so that they can make money out of the interest. Worst builder ever I have experienced, they wasted my 2+ years I wish I didn't fall into their trap. This company and builder are ripping off people with lies, false promises and zero commitment to their words.Megatel Homes
