I am a ******** ***** member of the ****** program with which Aloft/Element hotels participate. I pre-paid my visit to******** Hotel Dallas Love, but provided my credit card for incidentals and ****** credit. After staying at the******** Hotel for one night on or about Sept 20, 2022, my incidentals deposit was, correctly, returned. However, about two days later, I noticed an additional charge from Aloft Hotel Dallas Love that was not authorized. I immediately called Aloft/Element and was told someone would return my call. No one ever did. I called several more times over several days and only accomplished (1) being put on hold several cumulative hours, (2) being transferred in circles, and (3) being transferred to the "accountant" whose voicemail was full and who was apparently never at work. I am writing the complaint because I am concerned my credit card information was compromised through the ****** program. I am also concerned this is happening to others that have used that hotel and missing accountant. Now I must go through the hassle of canceling that credit card while traveling. I am seeking a refund of unauthorized charges and internal investigation in possible widespread fraud with these hotels.
