Franco's ***************************** was hired to build a steel planter box at my home at *****************************************************************. They completed the work on time and to my satisfaction (I thought). We agreed to the work on November 7, 2022. Work was completed on approximately November 12, 2022. I paid $2,950 as per our agreement. All of this was done over text messages, which are attached here as a PDF.Because it was wintertime, I did not do any work in the yard in or around the planter box. It just sat there, and I thought it looked fine.In early March of this year (2023) I started doing my usual Spring yard cleanup. Preparing my flower beds, checking my sprinklers, etc. When I got to working in my front flower bed, where the planter is located, I noticed that the dirt in front of the planter had been pushed up against the planter much higher than the grade of the ground, meaning it was burying my sprinkler heads and created kind of a "mound" up against he planter box. I assumed they had just put the dirt back and hadn't really smoothed it out. When I pulled back the dirt to get it lever with the rest of the ground, I immediately saw that that they had used angled piece of steel, and that there. was a very visible "hole" at the bottom of the planter, coming up at an angle. Photos of this can be seen in the text thread, and I'll attach them here.I reached out to ****** on March 4, 2023, and he responded in a very timely manner that he agreed it should be fixed, and would be by that week to make the repair. Since that date, I have tried no fewer than six times to get him to the house to repair it. Each time he has agreed, set a date, and then not shown up. He stopped taking my calls (so I began calling him from other phone numbers and he DOES answer my calls). Each time he promises to fix it, and then no-shows. I cannot continue to have to chase him down. I need him to either come to the house to complete the repair, or return $1,500 so that I can hire someone else to make the repair.
