In July 2022 I hired J&J Landscaping to assist me with some landscaping. Julio and I walked through the yard and I showed him where the sod would be planted and designated the plants to retain (a bed of Turks cap with some ******** ****** ***** *** ***** *******). He said he would check my sprinkler system and get it functioning. J&J's crew removed all of the Asian Jasmine, both American Beauty Berry bushes and about 3/4 of the Turks cap. When I saw that they were tilling up those beds I went outside and told them not to remove those plants and not to put sod in that area. Julio stated that he would replace the plants that were incorrectly removed. He replaced some Turks cap but billed me for those and said he would replace other plants to compensate me. I paid J&J $1,800 for materials and $3,136 for labor for "irrigation new system install as well as repairing old system (material". When the sod was put in the sprinkler was set to water daily. My water bill is drafted against an account and was drafted against my account at the end of August was $2,256.56. I contacted J&J and they said that was due to the increased watering. When watering there was water running down the street. They said there were two leaks but never repaired them. I had another company repair them at a cost of $2,350 and my water bill returned to normal. I have requested that J&J reimburse me for the $2,350 in charges to fix the sprinkler system and either replace the plants they removed or repay the $600 I paid for the Turks cap which I paid for. J&J did not charge me for $320 for one months maintenance and I protested the next two months and they did not pursue collection. Deducting the $960 form the $2,350 leaves $1,390 remaining on that reimbursement and either planting $600 of plants or repayment of the $600 I paid for the Turks cap which was replaced.
