My complaint is against Golden Keys; duplicates or make new keys. This company is deceptive,and lies to customers. I visited Golden Keys some weeks ago when the remote Key Fob on my 2008 Chevrolet failed, to sound the car horn. Employees stated that they did not have one in stock for replacement.The owner of Golden Keys said he could order one. I asked him what my price would be. He said, "about $40". I did not ask him to order this replacement. I ordered a replacement advertised on **** that Listed a replacement designed to for my 2008 Chevrolet.When the replacement arrived, my cost was $12.00. I went back to Golden Keys with this device & asked if they would install it on my car. Two of their employees spent a lengthy time trying to install it, finally saying this is NOT the correct device but the owner stated I have a remote that will work on your car. I failed to ascertain his price, assuming he was referring to the "$40" price originally quoted to me. It was very strange to me, that one employee took the the store suppled remote & said it works! I was shocked when the store manager said your price will be $95.00, plus tax! I protested the "switch" in price( to no avail) and said I will pay cash to avoid the sales tax. The owner refused my cash offer, saying he must charge the state sales tax! This is more of his deceptive trade practices. He has lied to me, repeatedly, when he first said that the remote I purchased on **** was not compatible. The remote that he "happened" to have in stock is identical to the $12 remote I bought on ****. The remote Golden installed is identical to the remote I bought on **** & was told, by Golden Keys that this remote will not work!MY mistake was going to Golden Keys & believing the lies said to me by the *********** employees. This ************ employees repeatedly lied to me nd I regret ever believing the continued lying to me.
