    Advertising Review:

In June 2023, BBB received a spike in consumer allegations regarding a range of advertising and marketplace practice concerns.

    Consumer allegations include:

    • Aggressive communications sent to students who leave negative reviews or communicate concerns to fellow students.
    • Income claims that students will make “$5,000 to $10,000 in passive income per month.”
    • Misleading description of the company's "Boardroom" program, which was advertised as being capped at ten students with four instructors and the company's founder. Participants allege this was not honored in the actual experience.
    • Students being banned from accessing their "lifetime" benefits of the program with no clear explanation as to why this occurred.
Failure to sufficiently disclose extra charges associated with full participation in the six-month program.
    • Alterations to the business' advertised guarantee. The business originally advertised a "money-back guarantee" but appears to no longer honor refund requests.
    • Enrollment in loans without fully understanding they were entering into a financial agreement.
    • Evidence the business solicited positive reviews from students in exchange for $250 gift cards (Consumers should be aware that it is a violation of BBB's Customer Review submission terms for a person to receive compensation in exchange for a review).

BBB contacted the business on July 26, 2023, to request a response addressing the allegations and documentation presented.

The business responded on July 27, 2023, but failed to acknowledge most of the outlined concerns. The business stated, "We are working to investigate some of these reviews. We will take it from here and appreciate the email." At this time, the business has failed to substantiate, modify, or discontinue advertising concerns brought to its attention.

As of August 14, 2023, the business has failed to provide a response to the many concerns brought to its attention. As such, its BBB Accreditation has been revoked.

According to the Basic Principles of the BBB Code of Advertising:

    1.1
The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.

    1.2
Advertisements which are untrue, misleading, deceptive, fraudulent, falsely disparaging of competitors, or insincere offers to sell, shall not be used.

    1.3
An advertisement as a whole may be misleading by implication, although every sentence separately considered may be literally true.

    1.4
Misrepresentation may result not only from direct statements, but by omitting or obscuring a material fact.

    Section 30
of the BBB Code of Advertising states, "30.1 In general, advertising which uses testimonials or endorsements is likely to mislead or confuse if: 30.1.13 Advertisers compensate consumers for leaving feedback on third-party online blogs or websites but fail to ensure that consumers disclose such facts on those blogs or websites."

    Section 34
of the BBB Code of Advertising also states, "Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data."

BBB has referred the above concerns to the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Office of the Texas Attorney General.

    Alert:
It has come to BBB’s attention that the business is offering compensation or incentives to individuals who post reviews. BBB does not accept reviews from individuals who have received or been offered compensation. In light of the questions that this practice raises regarding the authenticity of reviews, BBB has removed all reviews for this business.
