I receive a letter in the mail saying that I parked in a paid parking lot without paying. It was a collection notice, with additional fees added on to the charge. The problem is that I DID pay, and now they are threatening to report it to the credit agencies.Upon receiving the email, I emailed them a copy of the *** text receipt I got when I paid. It clearly show the date and time, which correspond to the date an time on the collection notice. Almost 1 month later, they emailed me back to say that I had to show additional proof. How much effort should I have to spend on their mistake? How are they able to threaten to affect my credit rating when they are clearly in the wrong and I have already provided proof.

On 12/11/2022, I used the 100 ******* parking deck in downtown *********** and was in there for about 20 minutes when I tried to pay and leave. The first pay station I went to was out of order. The second one was covered in tape not responding and we pushed the Call for Assistance button to no avail. Then, there were 4 buttons to select length of time in the deck. After trying to push any button to work (the first 3 didn't work), the only one that did was the 3 Day limit. It immediately ran my card before I could pull it out, so instead of being charged $9, I was charged $129.I tried multiple channels to reach out to at LAZ and kept getting passed around with no help. Finally, someone told me that I'd have to dispute the charge with my credit card company ************** They needed visual proof of this being a charge done in error, but the only thing I had to provide them was the parking ticket (#*******) that didn't have any pricing on it, just a bar code. I asked that they share my time stamped bank statement to LAZ as proof I was out of *********** less than 2 hours later and had no intent of being there or using a deck for 3 days. They ultimately declined my request to return my $120 and told me the only thing they could do without proof or confirmation from LAZ was to go back to LAZ and see if they would help **** wrote this same message to LAZ corporate and was told I'd have to speak to the regional head, ***********************************. After leaving 3 voicemails, I am now resorting to BBB as my only option to possibly resolve this issue.I am very much hoping that you all will help rectify this problem by issuing me some sort of certified document stating the charge of $129 was in error and instead should have been $9.I am happy to talk to anybody at LAZ that I need to in order to resolve this matter.Thank you,**** *****

      Good morning **************,

I have forwarded the original complaint to the regional manager directly.  I am in the process of trying to rectify for an amicable solution.  I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

I would first like to say that I appreciate the business following up on the dispute. I am rejecting this response strictly because the business said they were still working on a resolution by contacting their regional head. I remain hopeful that they are able to return my $120 as an act of good faith based on the details of the original dispute. Please keep me posted with the business's response. Thank you!

Hi, I am pleased to hear that LAZ Parking has agreed to refund the $120.00 originally requested. I waited about a week to allow time for the refund to show on my credit card, however to date, there has not been anything refunded. I reached out to *********** this morning to ask if they have seen anything on their end and if it could be pending, but they confirmed they have not received anything from LAZ. I ask BBB to please follow up with LAZ and request documentation and/or receipts of the $120.00 they claim to have refunded to my credit card account. Thank you!

Hi, yes, the $120 has been credited back on to my December 2022 credit card statement.

Thank you for the help with this matter.

Need assistance. On May 21st, my wife and I stayed for 1 night at The ******** Hotel in Dallas. The valet service hired by the hotel is LAZ Parking. When our vehicle (2019 Infiniti QX80) was returned to us by the valet parking attendant of LAZ Parking, we discovered our vehicle had been damaged (3 to 4 inch dent with scratch to the metal. We reported the issue to the management of The ******** and they directed us to J C **** (LAZ employee, phone # XXX-XXX-XXXX) to have our vehicle fixed. Initially, he acted very helpful, but continually failed to follow through on what he said he would do - have an adjuster call us so we could initiate the repairs. After many successful and now continually failed attempts on our part to contact Mr. Hamu (he doesn't answer or he answers and hears our voice and hangs up ). Please assist me in resolving this matter so my vehicle can be fixed..
