I am filing a complaint against Dallas Party Rentals for services obtained from them on 10/7/2023. I placed a reservation for a tent, tables, chairs, and linens. On the reservation I indicated by event time was 1PM to 9PM. Based on the contract I received, equipment was to be delivered no later than an 1 hour before my event start time. I received an email on the Tuesday before my event explaining this and it stated I would receive a phone call from my delivery driver 30 minutes before delivery. On Saturday I anticipated my items would be delivered around noon at the latest. Around 12:15pm I called to find out where my items where as I had not received a call. It took a couple of times calling before I could get someone to answer, and the lady that answered indicated my items were scheduled to be delivered at 1pm even though that was the start of my event. She stated the driver should be calling me shortly. At 1PM I still had no call. I tried calling the number back. It took 6 or so calls to get someone to answer. The same lady answered and said the driver should have called me. She stated she would call the driver and call me right back. Another 30 minutes later with still no call (my event is well underway at this point), we called back again. This time she told us there was nothing she could do and the driver would be there when he gets there and that we should have some ***** since they were down a driver. This was the first we had heard that they were down a driver. She also kept asking us to cancel our event since they couldn't deliver until late. We stated absolutely not were we going to cancel. Finally around 3pm (2 hours after event time) did the driver arrive, but with MAJOR attitude towards us. He was incredibly rude and the equipment was falling apart and DIRTY. Everything had to be cleaned before we could set up. I am trying to get in touch with an owner or manager but no one will answer or return my phone calls.
